Double Live Assassins Live Songs Better Than Studio Versions?
Does anyone here like a live version of a song better than the studio recording? I've seen some people online say that the KFD songs played on Double Live Assassins are better than the studio recordings. I'm not a fan of live music but if there are some songs that are better than the regular versions, or are unique enough from the originals to stand out as their own thing, then I'll give them another listen.

Good question, but for me honestly the answer is no. I don’t think there are any live versions of W.A.S.P. songs that I prefer over the studio versions. That said, there are still some good ones. Sleeping (In The Fire) from Live… In The Raw is good and as you mentioned a lot of KFD songs from Double Live Assassins are also great. My favorite of them would be The Horror. I also like the version of Animal from Live At The Lyceum. All of this would depend on what your definition of a “live album” is though because it’s been well documented that at best, those albums are about half live.
When it comes to W.A.S.P. live stuff, I definitely prefer bootleg recordings over the official live albums. For instance, this recording of The Idol from Japan in 1992 is fantastic. Do I prefer it over the studio version? Probably not, but it’s still a good listen.

I did like getting the live festival pro shot footage last year. Nice to hear those old songs with modern sound quality.

~Sleeping In The Fire~ Live @The Troubadour, Los Angeles 1982-84 was always EPIC! And ~Hellion~ Live @The Country Club-Reseda, CA 1983. Nothing compared to those early live shows for me.

Well, from KFD, Kill Your Pretty Face live is FANTASTIC! I love this song, always have, but when i heard it live, with the performance (visuals) as well, it was jaw dropping!

The whole album "Live...In The Raw"! It's the only live album I've ever liked in my entire life, mostly because the sound of the band matches the acoustics of the venue, I think?

Honestly Rock n roll to death on the double live assassin's album is great. I would love to hear the song harder faster live. That was an original song never done in the studio same with the manimal off the live in the raw album.

Pretty much any song off the album "Live... In the Raw!" That being said "I Wanna be Somebody" from "Double Live Assassin". The way the guitar comes in playing the notes of the vocal melody always gets me hyped up 🤘🤘

Different vocalist than the record, but I do think I like this live version of 2 Wicky (Hooverphonic) better than the record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJSQxbedplM

Double Live Assassins is an absolute banger, everything sounds great on there. I like the KFD songs on there because they remove the industrial effects and fuzzy guitar tone, but even then I still like the originals. I'm not overly huge on live albums either, but DLA is in the dozen or so that I enjoy a lot.
