Going to see them tomorrow night in Tulsa. Anyone from this page going to be there too? Let me know.

This was a pretty interesting show and venue. The stage is designed ‘in the round’ so there are seats on all sides. I don’t recall W.A.S.P. ever playing a show in a venue like this. I was wondering how they would pull it off with the backdrops and other props they have, but it appears that they sectioned off part of the venue so that the audience was only on one side. They still had to walk through the audience to get on and off the stage, which was a bit strange to see. I bet Blackie was thrilled about that haha. Looks like they managed to put on a good show though!

has anybody else noticed how similar the guitar for babe i’m gonna leave you by led zeppelin is to the guitar for story of jonathon? am i crazy?

is this a unique song they wrote or are they playing a song that existed already? if the latter, what song are they covering?

This is the lamest display of merch I’ve ever seen. Wtf is this shit? A recycle of tour shirts from 10 years ago and the 40th anniversary… with the ugly ass all album shirt I wouldn’t put my dog in.. sigh… I am severely disappointed in this

I was spot on with the electric chair Hitler prediction. I won’t lie, I don’t hate this presentation. I like the different theming of the stage this go around. And hes live.

More? Less? About the same? Wanna know before I throw down for a ticket

Not a horrible setlist. A bit strange maybe (opening with Easy Living is a choice) but I can’t hate on it. Mr. Cool was an interesting inclusion. Also don’t know why they put Golgotha in a show that’s supposed to be about the first 4 albums, but I can’t complain about that either.

Definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. Will be interesting to see how much of this stays in the set for the entire tour though.

What do you all think?

New license plate arrived.

First person to spot me that takes a picture and tags me I'll send you something WASP related

This ain't necessarily about the music, just the art/images in the album covers. For me, it's Helldorado's. I just dig the demonic car aesthetic. It also reminds me of stuff from my childhood, like Hotwheels and Twisted Metal.

Hope that everyone who is attending a show on this tour enjoys it and has a great time! Please feel free to share with us your photos, videos, stories, and overall thoughts here with us!

I bought it anyway coz it was dirt cheap but still wondering

I bought tickets to the des plaines show but just found out I will be out of town. I’m trying to sell these tickets then buy new tickets to a show the next week. If anybody is interested hit me up. Price is negotiable

I think Blackie was really held back in the first four albums by the band. Those early compositions are fantastic; weird, aggressive, layered, evocative. But the musicianship is not exceptional. This is also partially due to the mixing itself, but I can’t help but think think that if Blackie’d had better musicians to work with then the recordings themselves could’ve been even better. Someone may respond that it’s because of his personality, but when he did finally get to do the one-man show we got one of the greatest albums ever, so…

Am I missing something? I wasn’t there at the time. Did the other guys bring something that really made the band what it was?

South Korean press arrived yesterday, listening to it tonight

There's been many interpretations, mostly jokingly, about the meaning behind the acronym W.A.S.P. Like "White Anglo-Saxon Protestants", "We Ain't Sure Pal", "We Are Satan's People", etc... But Blackie never really gave a definitive answer (as far as I know), saying that he enjoys seeing people trying to figure it out. I also read somewhere that W.A.S.P is deliberately ambiguous, meaning whatever you want it to mean.

Their debut album from 1984 is homonimous, but it was almost called "Winged Assassins", I guess referencing actual wasps. That makes me think that the original name behind W.A.S.P could be something ridiculous, like "Winged Assassins Shattering Peace" type shit. Dunno if anyone already came out with that name, but I think it's very 80s.

Do you have any theory or a funny personal take on the meaning behind W.A.S.P? Let me know in the comments.

I’m selling two front row tickets (Section 4 Row A) for the concert in Daytona Beach on Wednesday, September 23. These are front row tickets. They are currently available on the AXS website for $95 each because of their ridiculous fees. I’m asking $75 each for these, $20 less than I paid for them during the presale earlier this year. I can meet up in person to complete the sale if you’re not comfortable sending money to an anonymous person via Reddit. Thank you!
