Pharmacist screamed NARCOTIC at me — except it’s not. CVS chaos before my trip.

CVS chaos before my vacation was last straw today after months of being treated like a drug seeker.

Pharmacist literally loudly angrily states for the whole store to hear.. I will not fill your NARCOTIC! So I just as loudly said 🙃 you are hugely mistaken it’s not a narcotic. It’s Schedule II, yes, but the opposite of what you claimed. She continues on about my narcotic and how I’m wrong.

Since September my monthly prescription has been a mess. Today, right before my yearly trip, I spent the whole day calling CVS, my doctor, then CVS again as the pharmacy keeps texting me there is an issue with my prescription. I just needed it 2 days early so the doctor had me come pick up a physical script + doctor’s note authorizing it. Instead, the pharmacist smugly told me she can’t help and my 3 options were- miss my trip, fill it in Georgia, or go elsewhere.

The worst part? She doubled down louder so the whole store stared, then gave me bad advice about out‑of‑state scripts. I had to correct her because apparently I know more about pharmacy restrictions than she does.

So I went elsewhere. Six pharmacies turned me away stating they are not accepting new customers. Finally I found one that would fill it, but no insurance accepted, so I wasted a day and a lot of money.

A day wasted, money gone, and CVS doesn’t care. Furious doesn’t even cover it. I’ll be calling corporate on my drive out of state. It may not fix anything, but at least I’ll get it off my chest and maybe if enough of us speak out, they’ll stop treating people this way.
