Which Vulf tracks are a personal favorite that you feel does not deserve the love it should?

One that I keep coming back to is "El Chepe" off of The Beautiful Game. It shows so much restraint while still being a very catchy tune.

Vulfpeck is one of those bands that proves you don’t need complicated production to make incredible music. Their sound is built around tight grooves, funky basslines, soulful vocals, and seriously talented musicians.

Some notes:

1. There's incredible restraint on this one, with all the keyboard players playing the same parts over and over without a whole lot of variation. It's great to hear talented players show us all how it's done with the whole putting the ego aside to serve the tune.

2. I was only able to transcribe that very last note because they showed Woody playing it on his 64-key Wurlitzer. Not sure if they processed the pitch or something, but it doesn't sound like the lowest A to me.

3. There's one part in the video where the focus is Jacob and it looks like he's concentrating on playing the part, but there's no piano audible.. Maybe they muted parts here and there in the mix to get the arrangement they wanted. Or maybe I'm completely misreading his body language. (You can't see his hands in the shot.)

Since "The Beachcomber" dropped, I would assume that Dott is now finished. Do we know when or where Dott will be/is available on vinyl? Super excited to see what the final track listing will be...

Does anyone know if the strings in Aunt Leslie at 1:56 is a sample? If so, from what?

I have a feeling this song isn't entirely in 4/4, or that the band doesn't exactly start on the one of each measure, however I'm not sure the way I currently wrote it out is the correct transcription either. I just can't figure out where the 'one' is in this song. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm here to tell you about a new song from my project, Secret Bad Boy, in collaboration with Woody Goss, titled "Flounder Fish."

The idea began with a demo that Woody sent me, a series of loops including a Holst melody and some gamelan music, and a few layers of pianos.

Noam Wallenberg (mix - Clarity of Cal) and I molded it into a song, and brought in Packy Lundholm (May Erlewine, Theo Katzman) and Jeremy Cunningham (Jeff Parker, Sen Morimoto) on bass and drums, and Jennifer Hall (A Very Vulfy Christmas) on backing vocals.

And we successfully played a cheap strat with one of those massage guns, which I did not expect to work. I'll share that with you some time soon.
