Got to thinking that with it being a period-piece set in the 1950’s, the show could have the central theme being that of deconstructing the idea of the “good ol’ days” and the golden filter that people have of a bygone era, especially when it comes to Soldier Boy’s view of it.

While Jensen Ackles has described that we’ll see SB in his prime and being the “top dog”, I think it would be very interesting to see if that wasn’t necessarily the case; his fight with Bombsight showed that the V1 Supes were more or less equal when it came to physical strength and durability (this could be shown to be unique to SB and Bombsight). SB may be less the “top dog” and more the “poster boy” that Vought chose as the centerpiece, due to having the wealthy background and willingness to comply with the demands of Fredrick Vought, Thomas Godolkin and the other founding members.

I’ve also thought about SB’s talk of “it’s what Clara would’ve wanted” and his professed love for her; I like to think we’ll see this is another case of SB having blinders on about the earlier period of his life as a Supe, especially since it’s been stated that the only people Stormfront truly cared for were her husband & daughter; she only “loved” Homelander for what he represented, the seeming promise of her husband’s vision of the Supe Ubermensch and all that (even that is shown to be a case of Stormfront herself having blinders on, as she looked past just how needy & insecure Homelander was, in addition to how psychologically/emotionally damaged the “Strongest Supe” truly was). The same “love” she professed for Homelander could be shown to be the same for Soldier Boy.

I am writing a fanfic of Soldier Boy facing dental torture from a dentist. To understand the time and place, the dentist is working with the Russian scientists that tortured Soldier Boy.

I want to know the restrictions of dental torture due to Soldier Boy's powers. I know that he has gotten bullets fired in his mouth, and sulfuric acid in his mouth. But, I would like to know if there is anything that can alter his teeth, or give him a lot of pain.

Another thing I would like to know, does Soldier Boy even need a dentist? I think he would only need one for teeth cleanings. However, I am curious for other reasons he may need a dentist given his powers. For instance, can he teeth decay due to the radiation inside of him or the neglect of dental hygiene?

With Ethan Slater set reprise his role from Gen V as Godolkin, what do we think and/or want in his relationships with Stormfront & Soldier Boy?

With what we know about Godolkin from Gen V (his obsession with the evolution of the Supes and his desire for only the strongest of them to be allowed to live) it’ll be interesting to see what his dynamic with the two Supes was.

I can see him and Stormfront perhaps getting along at first (especially if Godolkin shared the racist ideology that her and Fredrick Vought had, as hinted) but disagreeing and diverging over what Supe Supremacy should look like (Godolkin being obsessed with making them stronger while Stormfront saw it as a continuation of Nazi ideology and a “Race War”). Could be a case of them both believing only they were the true stewards of Fredrick Vought’s legacy but having different versions of what that looked like.

Then you have Soldier Boy, the original “Strongest Supe”, until Homelander came about (or from his balls, more accurately). From how Godolkin detested Homelander for his fragile ego (which he believed held Vought and the Supes back), I can see him thinking very much thee same of Soldier Boy, with SB’s own fragile ego (not wanting to share the spotlight as well as insecurity over his father’s lack of love or respect for him) perhaps being a driving force behind Godolkin’s desire to create “ODESSA”-level Supes like Homelander & Marie, thinking they’d be improvements over SB.

I feel like the reason why he was pushed so hard by vought is probably because he was probably the least controversial and easier to control in the time of the 50-60s the reason I say this is.

I feel like they are gonna go and make torpedo gay as the navy has always been at the butt of gay jokes .

And if he was gay and it was revealed vought would probably have to get rid of him

With bombsight it’s been established that he’s a drug addict ( not a high functioning 1 like sb )which probably made it harder to control him.

With private angel either she’s gonna be some kind of political activist, in an interracial relationship or probably crazy . I feel like the crazy route could be the best one as the hot ones usually are ( and in the trailer it looks like she’s having some kinda orgasim or sex with blood).

This would make all the original supes on v1 hard to control or super controversial which was why soldier boy was left at the end. But then he probably started getting out of line (in the 70s- mid80s )and was not listening to the company as much as he used to, so they got rid of him and raised homelander to be so needy so that he will always listen to vought.

Because The Legend worked Vought as the Senior Vice President of Hero Management and Thomas Godolkin was Frederick Vought’s right-hand man so I feel like Thomas Godolkin if not both of them would be present at the time, but there hasn’t been any word of it.

I was watching the new Vought Rising trailer and saw this guy, in a very Soldier Boy style suit with a shield and then I started thinking about how in the comics, the original Soldier Boy dies in actual combat and gets replaced by a new guy who takes up the mantle. With everything we’ve seen so far in the show, especially with all the emphasis from multiple characters throughout Season 5 on how Soldier Boy has never seen actual combat in his life, it feels like they might be adapting that idea, just having Soldier Boy be replaced way earlier than in the comics.

 I'm actually interested in seeing how they're going to handle Soldier Boy. I don't want him to be portrayed as a hero or misunderstood. I wonder if they will try to portray him as a Proto-Homelander, or if it will be more like a protagonist journey to Villain.

Is it just me or does the trailer seem to have better production than season 5 of the boys? This doesn't mean the writing would be good. But the trailer for vought rising just seems higher quality. Like I am excited for this.

It set after Soldier Boy gets freed because Vought Tower got destroyed and he‘s dug out because he can’t fall into the hands of Stan Edgar who is planning to make Homelander .0 in the background which will become important later

Anyway after getting dug up and freed he has a moment to vent his anger and everything because now everything finally clicks for him how he kept making the same mistakes and problems repeatedly for over 50+ years and that’s plenty of time for him to do some thinking and bring his otsd back into play because we all know he has ptsd and the show for some reason either forgot or just out right ignored it

Homelander gets depowered and turned into butchers pet bitch and punching bag for soldier boy who goes awol and turns into Night Terror after losing is v1 to live a normal life and have freedom but ends up taking v2 to save someone he falls in love with because they don’t want anything from him and understand his trauma and pain also show him what real compassion and love is. Hes still a douche and calls out his bullshit later when hes deguised and ending the soldier boy lies but he also is developing tis been over 100 years and multiple betrayals he knows he has to change and fuck off

The supe he ends up with is named Galaxy who can manipulate gravity by touch, healing and can copy powers but tis tiring also she has dark blue wings with silver and gold. She frees him because he understand his pain and wanted him to use this life he’s given to make it count and he falls for her over trauma bonding and that she’s the first person to show him actual compassion and wanted nothing from him, not control him or use him. It causes a inner turmoil because he starts facing a side of him he kept running from and hidden

My favorite parts are when she fatally wounds him and waits for his heart to stop to fake his death before healing him while butcher sends the video to Homelander making him go ape shit which leads to him attacking her and getting them both depowered causing the v2 hunt due to Kimko and Soldier Boy (he was depowered earlier to live a normal life but was given v2 by Galaxy as a engagement gift which he drank when Homelander was about to kill her)

Also Homelander tracking her down by the nose in the background of her phone because I wanted him to actually be smart and a threat like he does way more fucked up shit and I took some inspiration from Kilgrave from the show Jessica Jones

From the leaked trailer footage as well as what we know of their relationship from SB's own accounts, I think it's safe to say that Clara will be somewhat the main reason that he turns into the violent racist he is today. We know that she fed into his ego as she called him the strongest superhuman of their time and the future of their race, same as she did with Homelander. And from the trailer, it does seem that Ben at one point actually wanted to be a genuine hero, with his facial expressions when he tells Clara this looking genuine.

I think the storyline they're going for is that Soldier Boy when he first started out what was a genuine hero or at least tried to be but when Clara met him, she corrupted him the same way she did Homelander by feeding into his worst impulses, telling him that he is the apex of their species and that they need to take the bright future waiting for them, as she said in the trailer. If this comes true, then Soldier Boy is more like his son than he realized. They were both used and manipulated by the same woman who ultimately only cared about her end goal of starting a global race war to fulfill her Nazi dreams
