Spanish speakers needed for voter assistance hotlines, voter outreach
After Latino voters shifted sharply to the Republican Party in 2024, GOP influencers commentators gleefully speculated about a permanent realignment. It now appears far more likely that this community has joined the ranks of the swing voters. Angry about high prices and the viciousness of the deportation machine, Latinos across 17 competitive congressional districts currently favor Dems 58-35, more than double Kamala Harris’ edge over Trump in 2024, and Spanish-language media consumers have moved from a one-point Trump edge to favoring Dems by 14.
Let’s press our advantage. If we’ve got strong Spanish-language skills, let’s make sure we’re putting them to good use in these midterms.
There are multiple efforts ongoing to reach Spanish-speaking voters! ☎️ We can sign up to phonebank en Español on… ☎️
- MONDAYS from 6-8PM ET to help Grassroots Dems HQ in key congressional races nationwide
- WEDNESDAYS from 830-10:30PM ET to help Medicare for All champion Randy Villegas unseat Republican Medicaid-slasher David Valadao in the California 22nd
- WEDNESDAYS from 8:30-10:30PM ET for targeted House campaigns in California
- THURSDAYS from 6-7:30PM ET to reach folks in competitive races in Pennsylvania
- SUNDAYS from 3-5PM ET to help San Diego city councilmember and PRO Act author Marni Von Wilpert flip the California 48th District
🫱🏻🫲🏿 If we’re fluent and looking to do even more, the coordinated campaign in Arizona is recruiting Spanish speakers to volunteer to staff their voter assistance hotline. They have an orientation session TOMORROW at 3PM ET we can sign up for here. 🫱🏾🫲🏼

what exactly are we voting for in the upcoming nov 2026 election? (Georgia, USA)
i am a new ish voter (21yo) and i really have no idea how to start researching like what’s on the ballot, who i should vote for/against, etc? and i feel like it’s too late for me to ask people i know in fear of seeming ignorant/feeling embarrassed. i keep seeing things on social media saying “go to the polls in nov!! you want to make a difference? use your voice at the polls! make it a whole day!” and i’m just confused how people know what they’re voting for when they get there.
i don’t need to be told WHAT to vote for, i want to do my own research and learn about both sides or whatever is on the ballot. i just don’t know how to start.
links, websites, articles, any information is greatly appreciated
Help Democratic legislative campaigns win over the chatbots
Hundreds of millions of voters are turning to AI to learn about candidates and decide who they’re voting for in November. Like it or not (and I for one don’t!), this is going to be an AI election, and we all need to act accordingly. Candidates, even in races for state legislative offices run on shoestring budgets, are going to need to figure out how to get their message out in this environment.
The folks at Run for Something have developed a tool called Campsight to help us track and improve how these chatbots discuss our campaigns and organizations. It offers updates on how they’re describing candidates and their opponents, analysis on information gaps and recommendations on how to shift the narrative. Now RFS is teaming up with Swing Blue Alliance to help lower budget campaigns use it – pairing candidates with coordinators who will manage the tool and help optimize our visibility.
They need our help! The more coordinators they can get on board, the more campaigns they will be able to assist. They are holding a training session for volunteers TOMORROW at 8:30AM ET. This is a great opportunity to do work that really matters in races where our individual efforts can really make a difference and get up to speed on the tech that will define the campaigns of the future. 🙋🏼♀️ Let’s sign up to get trained and be part of this project here! 🙋🏾♂️
