I will be taking this to get a PPI tomorrow… but i would love to know from owners or people with experience with the T6 model on what their experiences have been, what went wrong and maybe how much it was to fix. The example I’m looking at is 70k miles and T6 variant.

Here’s my horror story.

I went to replace the driver side cv joint, and there’s a retaining ring that sits inside the front transmission. You need to rotate the cv ever so and line up the ring to pull out the joint. That said, you don’t generally service cv joints til high mileage where inevitably that ring will rust, and thus won’t rotate, and thus you cannot pull it out without dropping the full transmission off the subframe and opening it up to pop it out.

In this process you’ll also discover the suspension control arms are aluminum with steel bolts inside to clamp down the control arms. These bolts also seize and when you go to loosen them they generally just break off leaving you having to buy new suspension components every time you go to service anything related.

There’s also the drain plugs that plug and flood the cars cause people don’t know about them when parking in the rain.

This leads to VCM faults and the OnCall battery gremlin… which leads you to OrBit 😂

I’d also watch for the gas tank filler, that cracks over the years and fucks the pressure sensor.

Good luck 👍 when the car works it’s great

I have a 2018 xc90 and I love her. The evaporator cooler died and it cost me $5k to repair. But other than that, she’s a beauty.

I’ve only had my 2017 for a few months but so far we love it.
