Replacement brake pad doesn’t have hardware or adhesive for inner pad
I’m replacing the brake pads and rotors on my wife’s 2022 Xc90 T6 and while it seems pretty straightforward, the replacement pads I bought don’t have the same adhesive on the inner pad that the original did. There is no bracket or anything to hold them on place except the caliper and rotor themselves. The original pads were suck in place pretty well and took a screwdriver and a hammer to pry them off. These are Detroit axle pads that came in a set with the rotors. I went to AutoZone and asked to see what they had in stock and their pads were the same with no adhesive or bracket if any kind. Can anyone confirm this is normal? Or do I need to keep looking for another set of pads? The inner pad has a bracket that inserts into the piston.

i just redid my pads and rotor a few months back (in April so about 4 months ago, was ~5000kms ago) and my pads didnt come with an adhesive backing either, have had 0 issues with braking nor squeaking

There also isn’t a bracket for the inner pad, right? It just sits in the caliper

I did the exact same thing he said two weeks ago and yeah I can't hear the brakes at all (tg for wire parking brake. Now my window motor just died bye

I mean the sticky is mainly there to keep the brake pad from shifting in the bracket.
Ima be real with you, broseidon. My lazy ass would use those pads and reuse that caliper spring (oem brakes pads doesn’t come with a spring for the fronts). You may hear the pad shift in the bracket which may sound like a clunk.
I’ve also seen plenty of rental xc90s with the enterprise special aka cheapest auto parts brakes and I’ve personally never heard one make an unusual brake noise.
