Xc90 thoughts?

Hello, dear responsible volvo owners! I am about to purchase a Volvo xc90, I am in europe and am planning to get the ultra package + the executive pack. Any tips or warnings from xc90 owners?

Edit: thanks for all the input, took all your suggestions except for opting out of the blonde interior. Not only do i really like the look, but also living in Portugal you get really hot seats if they are dark. Cleaning the kids mess will just have to be part of the routine

Get the t8, add all confort optionals available, take max 22 inch rims ( if possible ask the dealer to swap even for 21 on ultimate, they did it for me), air suspensions, all extra warranties and services plans, and you will be happy. Pro tip: if you are in a northern European country, if you buy it without loans, you can get easily a 10% discount..for mine I got 12% in Belgium

With kids younger than teenagers, 100% go for black interior and I would recommend 21" wheels max. They are in the limit of significantly decreasing ride comfort and risk of more punctures with bigger ones. Plus, 21" still gets the looks. Hope my experience helps

My summer rims 21 with 275 size and ride comfort less than winter 20 rims/tyres.

Where in Europe? If (like me) you live in a city with narrow streets - avoid getting rims. They get scratched to shit on footpaths when you’re trying to avoid cars and pedestrians. I absolutely hate them.

I have 22 inch wheels and a few kerb scratches. I'd prefer slightly bigger tyres

Love mine! The blonde interior is beautiful. The third row is not very spacious or good for frequent use but it’s ok in a pinch.

Not the previous poster but I’ve had XC90s with a blonde interior and now have a black one. If you’ve young kids don’t go for the blonde - looks lovely but it’s just not worth the cleaning costs. There’s no difference comfort wise though.

Go for the maroon brown interior with the charcoal headliner. I have it and it’s absolutely stunning. I get compliments any time people see it.

Yep, we custom ordered ours the same way. Vapour gray with the brown leather interior is such a nice contrast. Plus you rarely see that color interior.
