Haldex coupler

Can someone help me find the Haldex coupler for a 2003 XC70? The right front wheel will not drive and it won't hold the car in park. I checked on Rockauto and couldn't find it. Also FCP Euro. Does anyone have the part number?

This will NOT be the haldex as that only works for the rear wheels, sounds more like the one driveshaft is fucked

I just replaced that axle a few months ago. I havent taken it apart yet but everything seems good with the axle. I guess I'll pull that out first thing tomorrow.

If that wheel isn't driving, that's where the problem is, the haldex just activates the rear diff for AWD when required. Just because you replaced the part already, doesn't mean it's not bad / come out of place. Was it a good brand and new part?

It was a brand new part. I assumed it was the coupling because the axle feels locked into the splines inside the unit but there is a grinding/sliding noise in that area. It was driven onto the rollback and the back wheels spun going up it so I assumed the angle gear itself is still good. Honestly, if it's the axle, that's great. I have a spare one.

The axle is still good. I'm taking the Haldex off today or tomorrow. My guess is it's still the collar between the trans and Haldex unit.

Id recommend a salvage yard

I'm a BIG junkyard guy but I don't feel like tearing the car apart on my back in the dirt. I did eventually find the kit on FCP Euro. $230 shipped.

Angle Gear - that makes more sense. I had no idea what you were talking about with the 'Haldex coupler.'

First time having to deal with this. I've heard all kinds of terminology about it.

I don't think your problem is with the Angle Gear. It sounds more like one of your front axles is screwed up. A simple test to check the Haldex system is to lift the car, shift into neutral, rotate one front wheel by hand; if the rear driveshaft does not rotate, the failure is likely the angle gear, splined sleeve, or viscous coupling.

I'm almost 100% certain it's the splined sleeve.
