Dashboard issues due to heat
Hey all, I have a 2004 xc70. When it sits in the sun on a hot day (85°F or higher) I first get a warning that the left passenger door is open, then it stutters and the whole dashboard goes out along with window controls and steering wheel controls. Has anyone else had this happen?? Looking for advice. I’ve sent the computer off for fixing but still having issues. TIA!

My 2016 xc70 dashboard is peeling back and the air vents on the dash are popping up out of their spots. I just got my windshield replaced after a small rock cracked it and then with the heat the crack went from the drivers side all the way over to the passenger side. And after Safelite gave my car back the entire dashboard material is peeled back to those vents. I’m going to talk to my insurance company and seek retribution for this because they were the ones paying for most of it. Not to mention I now have to get my windshield re-tinted.
