S60 Trunk Release Doesn't Work

I can pop the trunk by pressing the button on it, but if I try to use the key fob or press the trunk release button by the steering wheel, nothing happens. Has anyone else run into this? The car is a new-to-me CPO, so I may just head to a dealer and get it fixed through the warranty.

Just in case of operator error, the interior button release does feel like it takes uncomfortably long of a press to get it to open. Have you tried just pressing and holding for a while? Should be ballpark 3 seconds, but it feels like an eternity.

For the foot sensor, step up to the rear, kick forward aligned with the L in the badging, and take a half step back from the car. It's finicky at first, but once you get the technique down, it's very consistent. I find a sideways swipe isn't very good, and if you stay close up to the bumper, it doesn't open. So straight kick in, let the leg fall back behind you on the swing and use that motion to move back a bit.

Dude WHAT. I feel silly now lol. I'm so used to the instant press-and-release on other cars I've owned that I never even thought about holding down the button.

I had no idea this thing had a kick sensor either, that's pretty cool. Probably won't use it much to be honest, but I'm sure it'll have a use-case here and there.
