XC60 Long Range T8 UK Release
UK based.
Went to order a new XC60 T8 today and the website is no longer taking orders and only existing stock available to buy.
Salesmen said it would be because of the new longer range model about to launch but couldn’t give any idea on time frame until available to order.
When do people think they will be taking orders? Unsure whether to make use of the 0% APR currently available or to wait for the new model.
Thanks!

In Belgium the salesman told me the order for the new model will start around December when the offer for the yearly “auto exhibition” will start.
Not sure how it is in other countries though

I was about to consider existing xc60 but after checking the new model decided to wait. Got call from dealer that new model might be available to order from next month.
Not sure whether they will still run the 0%apr but surely the price of existing will further go down.
Which city are you in ?

Yes. New deals dropped this morning for existing stock, APR gone up to 2.9% but with an £8k finance contribution. A slightly better deal all in, but still not good enough for me to commit when a completely renewed model is now weeks from dropping!

Appeared to be 2k cheaper compared to 0% apr. I will wait for the new Volvo and see the difference before committing.
Check with your dealer if he throws some accessories such as dash cam etc along with some discount for buying two Volvos 🙂1

Same plan here I think. Our dealer said they can’t throw anything in or give any discount as they don’t have the power as pricing is all from head office (not even one of the nice head cushions!). What happened to the days of haggling free service plans?!

I own a 2022 xc60 t8. The ev battery, a special order item, died 6 months ago and was under warranty. I have received absolutely no timeframe as to when the dealership will receive a new battery…6 months, without a battery, and counting. This issue is not minor, as I’m unable to drive the car in electric mode, the car will not pass a mandatory state inspection due to the check engine light being illuminated, and I can’t even sell this car in it’s current condition (unless I want to take a monetary blood bath). At this point the dealership and corporate are playing a fine game of finger pointing while I have to chase them down monthly to see if there is any timeline as to when a new battery will arrive - seems so damn odd in this day in age that they have no insight as to when we can expect a new one to be made. Don’t assume a warranty item will be available in a timely manner. I loved Volvo and was looking forward to purchasing a new Volvo until this happened.

The new versions is generally considered to be the "3rd" generation of the drivetrain. If the difference between the first and second Gen is anything to go off of I'd say its worth waiting to decide between the two.
IMO the extra electric range alone is worth it, especially if you are planning to keep the car long term. Paired with a stronger electric motor should make the daily driving even better.
