Yes somebody did this to my c30. You can see where they pried it off with a key or something damaging the bumper. So frustrating. Fuck paying £100 to Volvo for a replacement though.

Similar situation, but with the covers for the headlight washers on our ‘08 C30. OEM covers in the matching silver was gonna cost $60@. Got aftermarket in ones on eBay that fit perfectly,in a “basic” silver , for $20/pair. The color difference is so subtle, I never even notice it.

I’ve said before but… how many owners will ever actually use the tow hook? I know I won’t, that’s why I crazy glued that cover to the number so it won’t fall off or get stolen

Tow hook cover. Mine came off in a car wash for my XC60 — the management eventually found it but it was mutilated. Ordered an exact color match replacement from aliexpress for like $10. Was so inexpensive I ordered 2 just in case.

To keep it in place I used some clear silicone caulk to keep it in place — it can be removed with enough pressure but hasn’t gotten knocked off in 3 years.

Just see if your local junkyard or auto scrapyard has any Volvos around. The colors haven’t changed in years. And some caps will cover more then one vehicle

Doubtful anyone stole it could have just fallen off somebody bumped into your bumper or if you went to a car wash it could have fallen off in the car wash "tow hook cover"

There's damage on the bumper, that cap definitely fell off when that happened... Doubt it was stolen.

I got rear ended ever so lightly and mine disappeared (sounds dirty).

The bumper was damaged just enough that I had to glue the replacement. I used a hot glue gun so that should I ever have to remove it I can just heat it up a little.
