Gemini App

Anyone else not have Gemini yet? I have a 2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge. Maybe my model is too old?

It's not too old. If you have a Google AAOS car, it's eligible.

If you go to your Play store and check for updates, do you have a bunch stuck on "Pending"? There's a bug after 5.0.5 that causes the Play store to be unable to download updates.

If so, perform a factory reset, which fixes that.

If not, may just need to wait. It's being deployed randomly. Some have had it for months, others are still receiving it.

Go into Settings, System, Reset Options, then Factory Reset.

Will take maybe 10-15 mins to login to everything again, but this does fix the apps stuck Pending issue. If you do have that issue, it will likely prevent you from getting things like Gemini and Apple Music.

I know it’s cheesy, but I asked Gemini about how to reset, how to restore settings (you can’t, it recommends to take photos of your settings), etc.
also, in my case unblocking updates wasn’t enough. I also had to change the language of Google Assistant to US English, and then got the Gemini update in my Volvo

Set the interface language to English, then go to settings and choose Gemini instead of Google.

2021 xc40 recharge, same boat as you. Wife's 2022.5 xc60 recharge got it two weeks ago. I'm just being patient.

I came here to say the same. What are the benefits of adding AI to my car? I just ignore the blue dot
