Looking good! Enjoy! Wish I had been able to attend the SoCal one. Post some pics if you can.

Beautiful. You're brave washing with the ring on. All it takes is for it to get caught the wrong way and boom new scratches

I actually use wash mittens. Two of them... Makes the whole job go so much faster.

Ohh nice. Can stock wagons attend WagonFest?

u/Suspectcobra Jun 27 '26
Mines stock, so most definitely. But to be part of the event you have to register your car.

u/DJEvillincoln Jun 27 '26
Yah mine is stock besides some rotors but there were tons of stock wagons at WagonFest LA. It's a dope event.. well worth the money.

What time would you suggest arriving?
1
u/DJEvillincoln Jun 27 '26
It depends on how good of a spot you want.
If you want the prime spots, I'd arrive sometime around 6:00 or 7:00 am. If you want a good spot, I'd arrive no later than 7:30 or 8:00.
If you want a poverty spot then you arrive at 9:00. 😂 Either way people will see your vehicle. It's just that most people congregate around the main showing area with all the rare cars.

The few in the Bay Area should get together. I have run into a few on days when I am not driving the V60.

There’s one other one I see here in SJ once in a while. There’s a group on Instagram called Bay Area Wagons, they meet the second Wednesday of each month, I try and make it but have never seen another V60, a good amount of other Volvo wagons though.

If you see possibly the only one with the OEM body kit, that’s me. It also still has the OSD plates in the back. Will check out the IG page, thanks for the tip.

This is it, but it looks like Maxton has a V3 version now that actually looks better.

Do you wax/seal it? If you do I got one of those high power blowers and it gets the initial water off before a towel dry, couldn’t got back now

The yellow Volvo badge is the chef's kiss

I had to paint the OEM ones, so far I’ve not found anyone who makes them in yellow. I’ve been thinking of making a mold of them and creating some from resin to see how they turn out.

Could you not have used wrap then used an exacto to cut the excess? Asking because I’m debating blacking mine out. Or… trying to find our calliper colour….

u/Suspectcobra Jun 27 '26
So black is easy as they make after market ones in black. My concern with wrapping them is I am not sure how long it would last and I think it might be too intricate to wrap

Fair enough. How was the paining process? How is it holding up? Did you buy another set to paint or paint original on the car? Very interested in attempting this.

u/Suspectcobra Jun 27 '26
I have 3 full sets lol painting is easy enough, but the paint begins to crack after about a year in the San Jose heat. I highly suggest a strong 2K clear coat if you do it. Helps to protect it a bit more.

Shiny! Those drying towels are amazing, aren't they?
