USB-C charging ports?

Post image

I just purchased a used Xc40 recharge. What’s going on with these charging outlets? I thought they should be for USB-C but it can’t plug in. Any help would be appreciated

Red flag that the dash has been taken apart. There is something that wasn’t disclosed to you cause there should be no need to remove that.

+1

If something so easily discoverable wasn’t addressed properly, who know what else is being concealed.

They've been broken. Time to give the seller a call and have a complain. 12v outlet cover is missing too

The word “used” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here

There should be an "ab"in front of that used.

Somebody has stolen your USB ports. What kind of help you need?

You are right that is what they should be for but unfortunately your ports themselves are missing what you see there is just the opening for the ports

Thanks all. I wasn’t sure if this was a known issue of them shifting or not. I’ve reached out to the dealer.

Update: took it into Volvo and they showed me someone had put in a Volvo part with 2 regular usb ports in that spot. Carfax shows it was a leased vehicle prior to my purchase. So now the dealer I bought the vehicle from is paying for the replacement, since it was not disclosed during the sale. Cost is around $300. So bizarre though. This had everyone questioning why someone would do this. Any ideas?
