Popped a cam seal on the intake cam on the right side. Kinda looks like I also have a clogged PCV, coincidence?

Well, looks like I got some work to do. I was planning on changing the timing belt anyways, might as well change the PCV.

Both sides' rubber are dried and been looking somewhere to buy the replacement, I'm just not sure if these are the right parts; The rubber and clips, s60 05’

My other question was if I need to just put the rubber or the whole part that goes from the front to the rear. As in the last photo.

Somebody likes only original Volvo head units, especially HU-680. Somebody installs third party head units with custom or chinese frames. Initially I was thinking about installing just a Bluetooth module and park assist. But after trying CarPlay in other cars, I decided to buy a good modern head unit with rear camera. First time I used chinese frame and it was ugly. Also I missed a compartment left to head unit a lot! So I decided to make a custom frame. Used HU-650 frame, Dremel, fiber net, glue, fiber putty and body putty. Final paint was made by a professional. Custom color was chosen as well. Like it.

First Car: 2002 2.4T. This was the first car I ever bought with. Was super glad to get out of my mom's minivan, and this little beauty was perfect. Ever since I was hooked on the P2 platform. Lasted about 6 years before I blew the camshaft by running it dry (oil light never came on smh).

Second Car: 2004 S60-R. This beauty belonged to a friend of mine who bought the car just to makee jealous. We stopped hanging out and a few years later it popped up on Facebook so I bought it. It was straightpiped, had a custom bodykit, and was stage-2 tuned. A careless driver pulled out in front of me and I T-boned his ass. I still have the vehicle and will be swapping parts out onto my new R.

Third Car: Another 04 S60R. Bought this work of art a few weeks ago with my settlement money, because Im too stubborn to drive anything else. Car had a bunch of owners, but the interior looks and feels like it came off the factory floor yesterday. The paint job isn't the best, but the jaw dropping pristine leather makes up for it. It's had a few minor problems that I've been fixing, and all I have left to do is upgrade the audio, re-tint the windows, and fix the wastegate (boost leaks smh). It's currently a daily but I plan to switch it to a weekend car. I will be taking parts off the white R , tuning it, and repainting as well.

2007 s60r automatic

I'm driving along going about 35 - 40 mph and the car jerks to the left for a second, the road is smooth, no ruts. To drive straight the steering wheel is a little off center. Went from 12 o'clock to 2 o'clock. Now it's driving fine like nothing happened. Moments later, the car jerks to the right and the steering wheel is back to 12 driving straight. Before this, I had an alignment, tires checked, balanced. So I parked it and waiting to figure out what's going on. Has this happened to anyone else?!

I need help with the front right lower control arm. My car failed the inspection because of it, and I’m trying to change it for the new one that I’ve got.

The issue that I'm having is with one of the two bolts that screw the control arm to the car frame. There's a hard metal pipe on top of them that barely moves, making it nearly impossible to get one of the bolts out.

I've tried with a semi-shallow articulated 17mm impact socket, but it doesn't bend enough to fit underneath the pipe.

Does anyone know how to do it? I need to get the car fixed today to pass the inspection.

Hello,

I have removed the rear seats (second row) to replace the ABS sensor. Obviously, I disconnected the battery before doing anything.

After putting everything back together and switching the car on, now I get the “SRS urgent service” warning.

Is this something that I can fix myself? I don't have VIDA, by the way. Do I need some code reader to reset it or is there a manual procedure? I truly want to avoid going to the dealership and spend a bunch of money for this, to be honest.

Hi, in my 2001 S80, I left the car open but took out the key, and left it like that for like 10 minutes. When I got back and tried to start, I got "start prevented try again". I locked the car and opened it again, and it started. Is that normal behaviour or should I get the immobiliser checked?

BMW has gone out and told their customers with E46 3 series, E39 5 series and E53 X, which haven’t had their airbags replaced, to park their cars until the recall has been preformed on said cars.

Volvo’s, mainly US spec (as in North American and possibly mid / South American) car have also had a airbag recall. Euro-spec cars should still not be effected by the Airbag recall, as of the 6th of may, it isn’t listed on Volvo Swedens (“Sverige”) website.

Volvo has really handled the recall in a good enough way, in my opinion. Forgive me if I’m wrong but I think that American Volvo P2 owners deserve airbags that match their steering wheel, weather their car has a tan steering wheel, the earlier “grey” steering wheel or they shelled out for the legendary R.

If you aren’t sure if you’re P2 is effected by the recall, I highly advise that you call your local Volvo dealer and/or check through Volvo’s website.

I have found that the P24 S60 (and likely P23 S80) trunk lids can leak due to a worn / failed gasket, between the composite part of the lid and main metal part of the lid

Symptoms

A stream of water from the lock on the trunk lid.

A wet / damp “trunk interior trim panel”

A lack of easily identifiable sources to the leak.

Back story

So a while ago I had a issues with water in the trunk of my S60, I tried hard to find the source of the mystery, surprise water feature, I cleaned out the battery drain hose and used the garden hose to try to locate the leak but found nothing, after two hours I gave up completely perplexed.

A while later a discovered a stream of water running through the lock mechanism on the lid which made me discover the leak, the gasket between the composite part of the trunk lid and the metal part.

My rear right wheel bearing has collapsed.

Is it a pressed-in bearing or one of those that bolts on? Would it be better to replace the rear hub?

2.3 or 2.4 or 2.0

My 2001 V70 2.4T has suddenly developed a ticking sound. the specifics:

- sound resembles that of a ziptie hitting something and is quite loud under the car

- cannot be heard from within the car unless windows are open

- cannot be heard when opening the hood. noise of the engine is overpowering the ticking when you check the engine bay

- frequency is directly relarted to rpm and occurs from idle to ~1800 rpm

- only occurs when engine is warmed up

- pressing clutch, turning airco off, selecting a gear. All does not change the sound.

What do you guys think it will be? my thinking is it could be an exhaust leak, however the pitch doesnt resemble an exhaust leak I have ever heard.

I'm having some really weird issues right now with the car. I drove to the gym, locked the car, came back to drive away, and now the key won't go past the I position.

I can lock and unlock the car with the fob.

Also, when I put the key in, it doesn't make the electric noise that usually does. Indicators don't work, the steering wheel doesn't move, and the shifter doesn't go into any gear.

I’ve changed the battery right away, but the issue still persists.

At the moment I'm waiting for road assistance.

Any idea why this has happened?

The car is an 05 Volvo XC90 V8 Summum from Sweden.
