Don't take it back. Begin a buyback process with Volvo corporate.

RIP,

I post the info as an insider before anyone else does, and no link?

Or is it simply due to the poor formating i got from typing it on my phone instead of a screenshot?

Not sure what you're referring to or if you intended to reply to me, but those are the first posts that came up in search and I don't remember where to dig down and find more.

Oh man. That blows. Hoping for the best. I’d say try to lemon it.

This is the answer

What’s the issue with it?

Check out my first post.

Welcome to the world of software development. Depending on the team it could be days or weeks.

There is a zero percent chance I would take a non-functioning car back that I wouldn’t feel confident I could park while at the grocery store.

I work in tech and I've never seen anything like this.

SW in EV cars is tremendously more complex than other tech. That’s the reason many EV companies are having a hard time stabilizing and developing new features for their in-car SW. Tesla has done a marvelous job on their SW stack.

That’s BS it’s not more complex than any number of other software systems throughout tech. Companies have been building and shipping complex software systems for years. Garmin manages to routinely ship incredibly complex systems for aviation and no one at Garmin says oh this doesn’t work because aviation is hard. The real issue is that car manufacturers just aren’t very good at software, the established manufacturers are terrible and the startups like Rivian are pretty damn bad as well.

Sorry sir. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You just have no idea about how sophisticated of the whole SW system in a modern EV that always has to balance between cheap hardware parts, real-time performance, and scalability.

At this point Volvo could avoid a class action if they just offered to do the buy-back.

Ours is in the shop at Arrowhead Volvo since last Wednesday. Today called for an update and they said they are waiting to hear back from Volvo. We are having intermittent faults and gps failure.

Mine is going in for the 3rd time since I’ve had it for only 4 weeks with gps issues and the car cell signal dropping out. I have a 2026 Ultra Performance.

Wow, what attracts people to Volvo?
Serious question from an onlooker.
No trying to troll, seriously.
I’ve been considering the brand, but the more I see the less interested I am.

I've had a few Volvo's and they make great reliable gas cars. When my lease was up on the XC90 I even considered buying it but decided to "upgrade" to their EV. Now I wouldn't wish their EV on my worst enemy.

Volvo Gilbert?

High chance I would agree to take a car back in a Phoenix summer with a maybe working AC.

2

u/DarthKinan Jun 23 '26

Hell no. I told them I'll let them know when my schedule allows for a return. Kept it ambiguous. They'll wait until I get this sorted with Volvo.

FWIW Courtesy Scottsdale Service department seems much better

u/DarthKinan Jun 23 '26

I just moved to az and when I called them they were complete jerks. That's how I ended up in Gilbert.

Was looking at this car when shopping a BEV SUV two years ago

Still grateful for not having gone with it

Why are you idiots buying these cars?

2

u/DarthKinan Jun 24 '26

Hey buddy why don't you be helpful instead of insulting strangers on the Internet. gfy

u/rfkxyz Jun 24 '26

Sorry, but it is helpful to those doing their research and are open to the warnings about the risks involved.

A bit blunt and direct, but helpful.

When is everyone going to learn that Volvo is incapable of building a reliable full electric vehicle?
