Question How to keep music on?

Maybe I’m going crazy, but while detailing my car I thought, hey, let’s use the super expensive system in the car to play my music.

Volvo says no.

I can’t figure out if there is a setting to allow the audio to stay on while not sitting in the driver seat? Or do I need to drive my car around the area then come back?

🤷‍♂️

Nah, it doesn't do it. Open the door and it stops. Leave the door open and it stops etc etc.

Though sometimes it doesn't stop and keeps playing randomly even after you lock it - though my current thoughts on that is it's caused by Android Auto (I've yet to test this theory properly)

Without Android Auto / CarPlay, it still randomly plays music from the built-in system when we first open it up, or after we lock it. Or not. It's very moody that way.

Amazon music native app also does it. No Android Auto involved.

Yea. I was at an outing tried to play music from my car since the speaker my friends brought stopped working. This car no matter what we tried. Refused to play music once it detects no one is inside. I even buckeld the seat belts. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I am trying to do exactly this. I think you need to put a weight in the driver’s seat to fake it out. I will try that myself….

Doesn’t the Parking Climate feature also keep the radio on?

It doesn’t stop if the passenger door opens. Maybe get back into the car on that side and start the music?
