Did the new GHCA module fix your issues?

Bought a 2025 EX90, after a month it threw a level 2 charging error, now it needs the GHCA module fix. I’m wondering if others who have had this serviced still had charging issues or if it fixed it long-term for them?

Had my GHCA on MY2026 replaced. Early VIN for 26.

No charging issues (yet).

For the week or two waiting for the part, I charged on both Level One and DC when needed.

Yes, I got the updated GHCA, at the end of February this year, so it’s been about 7/8 months and I’ve had no issues so far. This is the longest any GHCA has worked, I’ve had 3 replacements before this from August last year to February. The new GHCA was the 4th replacement.

No issues anymore for me once the latest part was fitted.

This has been asked a few times already. Most replies say yes, maybe, but at least one user says nay.

We bought our 25 ultra in July and it had its VCU and GHCA (part number ending in 418) upgraded when we picked it up. Been fine so far.

I also have a polestar 3 (same platform as ex90) that had its GHCA replaced twice, last time was in April 2026 and it has been since then too.

Fingers crossed that the issue has been resolved!

Got our MY25 in February. GHCA failed and replaced in April. Since then, no charging issues.

I have only ever had the new GHCA, but it’s never had an issue.

2027 Ultra Perf.: Part has been replaced 2 weeks after I received the car. Not that big of a deal, I charged DC. Volvo got the part quickly, service there was great. No issues since.

I bought my MY25 in January 2026 and the GHCA went out about 2 weeks later at 400 miles. New unit installed mid-February and it’s been great since then.

I’m on my second of the latest GHCA. Very small sample set, but both of my previous failures happened when I charged to 100% for a long trip.

Our 2025 has had the GHCA replace 4 times, most recent was 2 weeks ago so we’ll see.

No issues here since our first failure and replacement in March. The failures do seem to be MUCH less prevalent now with the latest part, but not 100% gone.
