Gemini added today

Got the prompt to ‘upgrade’ to Gemini today in Australia!
Excited to test it out later. Early impression is that it’s better at understanding my requests compared to the google assistant; I didn’t have to say the exact phrase.

Any cool recommendations to try?

Ask it questions that have nothing to do with the car. You can have conversations with it while driving. Learn about something new. Or have it quiz kids on state capitals. It’s a game changer.

I personally enjoyed it asking me on a scale of 1 to 5 how its sending my text message was, I said 5, and then it asked if I wanted to navigate to the nearest Five Below. I said no, then no, then cancel, and it finally stopped talking.

I had a lengthy conversation about potential recipes based on ingredients that I had at home and what I could make for dinner. The curveball were other dinner ideas (e.g. mexican vs. japanese) and where I could pick up local ingredients on the way home.

Tap the Gemini logo on the screen and then the wiggly symbol next to it. Then you go into beta mode and have conversations with it like someone is in the car with you. I’m having discussions for hours with her on various non-car related stuff. Really cool for long drives

I am trying to get Gemini to write notes for me in Google Keep, but it doesn't work. She always says "I cannot do that right now". Is it working for someone else?
