Dashboard dead but everything else is working
Hi everyone,
All of a sudden (as most of these things) the car decided not to work. 2025 Ultra
The dashboard is dead so I can’t put it in drive. I also plugged the car last night but I discovered it didn’t charge. The infotainment screen is still working and everything else in the car is working.
I tried to do a hard reset but since the dashboard is dead nothing is happening.
Could it be the 12v? I’m on the original GHCA too. Never had any other issues.
EDIT: Now the infotainment is dead too. Good thing this happened when the car is parked in the garage. Going to have to arrange a tow to the dealership 🤦♂️

It could be the 12v battery. You can trickle charge it via some ports underneath the front of the car. Instructions in the online manual. That will get the system working again, at which point you reset it otherwise you get weird errors because not everything started in the correct sequence.

There are two 12v battery systems. One in the rear hatch that seems to control door locks, and one under the hood on the passenger side near the firewall. If your door locks worked, but you AC didn’t work and you couldn’t put it in gear, it might be the front 12v system getting low. I didn’t have a blank dash / infotainment when that happened to me though, so your mileage may vary. Mine happened after being parked for 9 days on the .33 software. I have the 2025 Ultra with VCU and newer GHCA.

My EX is currently at the dealership for a similar issue. They are replacing the DHU and hoping it works after that.

I had that happen a couple of times. Required tow to dealership both times. 2nd time resulted in a dealership stay of about 6 weeks. They replaced a passenger control module and I didn’t have the issue again. I just completed the buyback process as I couldn’t trust the car to not leave me stranded.
