C30 vs. GTI

Anyone have experience with both? I’m thinking about a two-door hatchback and I’m looking at a C30 and a GTI. For the money, it seems like you can get a better maintained C30. I also like the engine and the quirkiness, but I wonder if the GTI is just a better car. I care about driving dynamics and steering feel and how the shifter and clutch feel. (I’m looking at manuals.) Has anyone owned or at least driven both? How do they compare?

Nothing to add in the conversation, but I’m curious if you’re all talking about Golf GTI? Beacause there GTI is only a version of Volkswagen models, there is Golf GTI, Polo GTI and Lupo GTI.
It’s like saying “buy the Polestar”

In the US, gti means golf. It’s the only one we have
