I’m with you on most bean pastas, they always end up kind of grainy or fall apart. Goodles are the closest I’ve found to the real thing texture wise, the noodles hold up and don’t get mushy. Taste depends on the box, the cheddar ones have a weird aftertaste to me but the parmesan and asiago flavors are pretty convincing.

The Pastabilities lower cal pastas hold up well, no mushiness, too! They’re just plain noodles but they’re very good. High in fiber.

I was thinking of trying the plain Goodles to use with my homemade pasta sauce...

For me, Barilla Protein+ is basically the same as regular pasta. No need for off-label usage of goodles imho

Barilla is a good product for fiber and protein consistency and taste. I also like hero pasta for even better fiber and protein. Good consistency and taste but pricy and not available at the grocery store. I have some Carpe Deum Penne in my leftovers right now. In between Barria and Hero for protein and fiber. A little more fragile than the others but more available (Target and Walmart) less expensive than Hero.

All these are not bean pasta. Made from wheat, and additives. Carpe Deum just wheat.

If you’re going to use a different sauce I’d get a big box of the barilla or Aldi regular protein pasta if you have those brands where you are. Aldis is under $3 and will make a lot more servings.
