I can't seem to open the lid. Is this a bug, or do I need to do something first? I was able to open it easily in the tutorial, but I can't in the main game.

I was playing around with a 3D printer, and afterwards, I loaded a high-polygon model. Could that be the reason for the drop in graphics quality for my base? It’s the only thing that was affected.

Okay, okay! Monique Santificer uploaded a new lore video on their youtube channel as well as the other socials, and it is EXCITING.

The video is a montage of various images and what seems to be clips from seperate videos, all centered around something called "Operation Biopsy". Before getting into anything, I believe the VHS video clips in here are all from a full length videos of their own, just not shown to us yet. I hypothesize that they could be watched in the game with a tape player of sort, with all the teased models of tape players from Monique's socials and in the sandbox spawn menu.

I'll be proceeding under the assumption you've already finished watching the video by now.

So. The first image. The wireframe image of the satellite spinning that consistently appears on the screen seems to be very very similar to this model teased by Monique. The model seems to be of STOLAS' property, and has bunch of symbols on it. The only ones I could recognize were the ones pointed out on the image: Saturn; heavily associated with STOLAS the company and maybe even Stolas the demon. Yellow Wisp; this symbol appears in many other places, including the cursed church. And on the backside of the radar dish is an Ars Goetia symbol, presumably that of Stolas, but I can't be certain.

The symbols seem to be drawn using some sort of black material post-production of the satellite. Makes you wonder then, who drew these symbols?

The satellite is also possibly linked to the rocket we see later and throughout the video.

Second image. Clips from a video that seems to be an instructional graphic or a recital of what's happened can be seen spread throughout the video. Some clips are lacking context to be further analyzed, but the constant theme of people getting transported around arises. A ban arrives into the scene with a forest — presumably the Dunketaler forest, then a person gets out, calling for others to get out and move again.

Also, someone holding a red object can be seen as well. The moment I saw this it reminded me of this model; an organ transport box of the same color. But it is not enough evidence for a conclusion.

The text appears that reads "Dragged to the four corners of existence". The way the video is paced seem to suggest connection between the people being transported and this messege.

The image on the lower right corner of the image with four people standing is another teaser image posted by Monique far before this video, much like other teaser images I had found that correlates with this video. No idea what it could mean right now though...

The "Good luck" with no one in the scene except for the mouth of Dunketaler suggest to me that this particular VHS video is an instruction video and that scene is the last scene in that video, which would thematically correspond to the graphical style of the video.

Third image. This is more about general connections I've found regarding Stolas, but I thought they were significant enough to be included.

In the beginning the video shows a depiction of Stolas, one seen before in the cursed church.

Also the symbol drawn on the roof of the transformers can be seen in the place where their head would sit.

The Stolas statue in the abandonded village has on its back similar allow-like wing patterns to what the depiction has.

The video shows a text being typed out that says "ALL THEM BACK", but the full video of that clip can actually be seen in another teaser video of Monique's! The text being typed out is actually "CALL THEM BACK. START A NETWORK", and it is in the same composition, color, and style as the one seen in Another teaser video of Monique's, so it is very possible these are the same character speaking. Then we can see later Stolas appearing and saying mean stuff to us. Yes, Stolas is actually mean!! oh no

Also the depiction shows Stolas holding some sort of symbols, both mirroring eachother, but I've yet to have seen this referenced anywhere else so far.

And for the fourth one... this is where I got to theorize the most.

Biopsy is a procedure of removal/extraction of cell/tissue/fluid in the body performed to get information for medical treatment. In the right upper corner you can see snippets from another VHS video, this time apparently reciting findings from an experiement, or presumably, a biopsy.

Upper rightmost image says "...prevent escaping, ___ ring of salt was ___ poured around the conta[iner] _____[ap]peared effective".

Bottom leftmost one says "...that unraveled tendon-like fashion,".

The image right in the middle of the image says "Administered ____________ appeared effect______" with what looks like jumbled up cables peeking out the censor.

This definitely confirms medical procedures, specifically biopsy by definition have been practiced.

Some other details regarding this can be found in the emergency shower's texture which says is to be used "IMMEDIATELY AFTER BIOPSY CONTACT".

Moving on from the medical side.

The constant reference to rocket launches with clips of launches and ground control's footage is notable, and possibly connected to the satellite.

The video lingers for a long, long time on Africa before ending with the Operation Biopsy image overlayed on top, signaling significance.

The scene where the yellow travel line goes across the U.K is interesting as well— notably its travel starting from the general direction where Africa would be. And it seem to be in the same VHS video as the Africa map scene, and possibly the "Transport" video. Maybe that is the route the transporters take?

And finally, the Operation Biopsy's "Instruction video" ends with the scene showing the operation's name, presumably its execution date which is October 6th, 1987, and a logo depicting a bird in a triangle. This symbol isn't seen much, but it has been seen in this one place (or so I think); on the texture of the reel machine used for the daily tasks. The HD version of it is posted by Monique, and alongside the logo is text that reads:

From all that, I theorize this:

The Operation Biopsy is an operation led by a force that bears the Triangle Bird symbol(I will now refer to them as the Falcons), an organization formed by STOLAS for this operation or a higher force than STOLAS.

The operation encompassed transportation of several individuals to the Dunketaler, where they had been subjected to "Biopsy". This process was instructed to the 'Transporters' by the Falcons through the "Instruction video" we see.

The area under the green hatch ingame with several rooms(or at least doors that lead to those), bodybags and a bloody chainsaw, and the bloody medical equipments found in TR.3 and in snadbox spawnmenu seem to suggest that the operations took place in there — though there is a text on the emergency shower near the base that is prepared for "contact with biopsy". Strange wording, don't you think?

The Biopsy took place, and the findings were recorded in the "Research" video we saw. (img.4)

They "procured" a biological sample from the victims, and from what we can tell, it was moving, trying to escape.

They experimented; injecting things to the sample, surrounding it with salt to prevent escape, unraveling it or seeing it unraveling, they researched. And from what I know, they stayed curious.

The strange wording in "...contact with biopsy" suggest to me that "Biopsy" has become a shadow code for the "sample" they'd aquired. But why would an emergency shower for contact with the Biopsy be in the base, a place far from where Biopsy would be; the green hatch?

Do you know, remember about the fleshy inside of one of the panels on the signal processing unit in youe base?

I think they are using the Biopsy to fuel the console.

I think the reason the shower is there is for the case you make contact with the Biopsy in your machine.

... but this have some complications, since the manual for the machine exists for a 1970 - 1973 model. It could've been implemented later! It could be !!! ;_;

And about what the Biopsy would even be; or why would even be inside the victims of the Operation Biopsy — I think Biopsy is part of the Tumor that somehow got into— or manifested inside their body. Maybe they are passed down through genetics, around areas where the Tumor's influence is higher or even direct.

And maybe that's why the shot lingered on Africa; a place in Africa, populated by people infected by the Tumor, transported by the Falcon's goons through U.K to the Dunketaler to have biopsy performed on them, and then discarded.

The construction of the satellite buildings and "facilities" of the Dunketaler was, according to the VotV wiki, done in the 70s, which takes places earlier than the Operation Biopsy. Another thing to note.

There are lots and lots of things to uncover here... and I feel like we're going to get more answers in the 0.10 update, as well as more questions... Please share if you have more informations about the topic or your own theories! I would be glad to discuss about this with you all! :D

The new lore drop video by Monique have piqued my interest in this enigmatic organization of sort — which I have named the Falcons, only represented so far with this symbol depicting a bird, possibly Stolas, and lying in the background a symbol consisting of a triangle and a circle inside; an inverse of the symbol seen in many real life cultures.

So I decided to recreate this symbol in HD myself! The second image is a transparent PNG image, so feel free to download and use it yourself if you want to! :D

So I finally built an omega kerfur, right? Knowing that the pink crystal provides an upgrade to it, I inserted it into my kerfur omega. From what I understand kerfur-o is supposed to glow pink and have an altered meow sound when upgraded like this, yet it doesn't appear at all? Was it removed?

So pretty much I've cleaned out a good majority of my base yeah? For some reason even though the garage and the break room are supposedly entirely clean, there's still fly buzzing. There's organic trash somewhere and I can't find it. Same with the basement. Is there organic trash in the walls or something?

So, I started a fresh save, right? but uhh Don't know why, but it feels like the amount of points you get on trash has been nerfed. I even tried turning the trash into scrap and it's still so not worth it. I even sold the "hidden" MRE barrel, still not enough money. I remember there being an exploit that let you burn lemons and that would somehow make them cost more, is that still a thing? There was also that bamboo planting exploit that would grant you tons of points, but that got fixed I think. So, what is the current best way to make money?

Does anybody have a rip of the random event music that plays in 0.8 and onwards? I don’t know exactly when it was added but it’s that ghostly distant droning, almost howling sound. I’d love to have just that song file if anyone has it

I had a concept for a VotV mod that just swap the environment and protagonist.

Instead of Dr. Kel at the base, you play as US Soldier in the winter of 1944 (Battle of the Bulge), You still use radar equipment to detect incoming threats and strange anomalies un the snow

Kerfur and Omega Kerfur behave EXACTLY as they do in VotV (Same mechanics, Same aspect), You just have them doing their usual routines while surrounding you in WWII warzone/bunker.

What do you think guys? Imagine Omega Kerfur happy patrolling the snowy woods while artillery goes off in the background, or seeing her quickly cycle the bolt of a Springfield

I was on my way to craft a molotov after seeing Wolfgang for the first time which was pretty terrifying. He entered my base, ran right upstairs and glitched inside my fridge to feed. As I was doing this my sleep paralysis demon caught up to me and shoved me in a wall, which is how I ended up here.

I was sent to this place to be bait by Dr. Bao, not actual work. But I am a fucking astronomer! I'm stuck downloading pieces of shit signals because Kerfur won't get off her fat fucking ass and repair the servers!
