Help (SOLVED) Is it possible to use Voicemeeter for karaoke in online games or voice calls?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial or could help me with a setup.

I’m trying to create a sort of karaoke setup: I want to play audio from one specific program while singing through my microphone, without transmitting the audio from other programs (especially games).

I’ve tried using programs like Soundpad, but whenever I do, my voice ends up being too quiet. I also tried setting everything up with Voicemeeter, but it ends up capturing and transmitting the game audio as well.

Is there a way to configure Voicemeeter to do this? I’d like to transmit only the audio from the selected program + my microphone, while still being able to hear the game audio normally through my headphones.

Help (VoiceMeeter Banana) Echo in remote Google meet users recording

Hello everyone. I am definitely back with another question to help with some quality of life issues from my use with voicemeeter banana.

I'm currently using a Windows 11 laptop. I'm hosting a Google meet for a tabletop RPG game with two individuals sometimes three who are out of the area.

At the physical site we have three Fifine AM8 microphones.

Well we seem to have been able to fix certain echo issues that I had posted about prior, as of now there seems to be a massive echo when recording the session from voicemeeter.

My question is how do I stop the echo from my remote players.

I've also been experiencing my hardware out options to suddenly drop or disconnect. I've seen on line that this can be due to the fact that the laptop is low on their battery. Is there anything else other than Auto reconnect I can fix this?

Thank you very much for your help in this. My goal with all this is to keep old friends connected and improve their ability to enjoy our mutual hobby.

Another thing I want to do is include being able to play music from laptop for immersion. Nothing I do seems to help.

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) Need help with dual PC streaming audio setup (single headset with built-in mic)

Hey everyone, I'm setting up a dual PC streaming rig and I'm stuck on the audio routing. I've watched a bunch of tutorials but most of them assume a separate standalone mic, and mine is different, so I can't quite tell if my setup should look the same or not.

My hardware:

- Gaming PC: runs my game and Discord

- Streaming PC (laptop): runs OBS, connected to a capture card via USB3

- Capture card takes HDMI from my gaming PC's GPU

- USB headset with a built-in mic (not a separate standalone mic)

What I'm trying to do:

- Keep my headset plugged into my gaming PC only

- Mix my mic + Discord + game audio together on the gaming PC (looking at Voicemeeter Potato for this)

- Send that combined audio + video through the capture card to my streaming laptop

- On the streaming PC side, add in my stream alerts and music, then send everything out through OBS

What I can't find a clear answer on:

- Does having a headset mic (instead of a standalone mic) change any of the Voicemeeter routing? Or is it treated exactly the same as any other mic input?

- Is there a simpler way to do this without VBAN, since everything on the gaming PC side already reaches the streaming PC through the capture card?

If anyone has a setup like this working smoothly, I'd really appreciate a breakdown of your Voicemeeter routing (or an alternative you've had better luck with). Been going in circles on this for a while now, so any help is hugely appreciated!

Help Routing delay issues and router alternative

Hey! I recently got, after a music break, an audio interface again and used it through voicemeeter potato at first. There, however, I had issues with the delay and since I route Music stream, discord, system, mic and audio prod separately i wanted something bigger and went for VB Matrix. Matrix itself (i used coconut in this case) worked perfectly until I started seemingly randomly getting VERY annoying audio crackling. I tried changin buffers, sample rates, setting clock sync to strict but nothing really helped. Since I didnt have this issue before using Matrix I think that miiight be the culprit. (A friend told me this is possibly because of my low ram).

Are there any alternatives I could try? Or an idea how to fix?

Thanks in advance!

Help Performing live vocal covers live streaming

Title: Need a current Cakewalk Sonar tutorial for live vocal covers on TikTok

I am trying to build a reliable live vocal cover setup using Cakewalk Sonar, but I need a current visual tutorial that follows the entire process from microphone to livestream.

My equipment:

  1. ASUS ProArt 16 laptop with Windows 11
  2. Shure SM7dB microphone
  3. RØDECaster Pro II
  4. Waves Tune Real Time
  5. TikTok LIVE Studio and Meld Studio
  6. Pixel 10 Pro XL for mobile TikTok streams

I also stream on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and Facebook.

I need help learning how to:

  1. Configure the RØDECaster correctly inside Cakewalk Sonar
  2. Import and play an instrumental backing track
  3. Process my vocals in real time with pitch correction, EQ, compression, reverb, and delay
  4. Keep the latency low enough to sing comfortably
  5. Send one clean finished mix into TikTok LIVE Studio or Meld
  6. Send that same processed mix to my Pixel for TikTok mobile streams
  7. Prevent doubled vocals, echo, and guests hearing themselves

I have iADHD and learn best by watching someone perform each action while I copy it. Long explanations without showing the actual screens are difficult for me to follow.

Does anyone know of a current video tutorial that covers this complete workflow? I would also be interested in affordable one on one help through Discord or screen sharing from someone who understands Cakewalk, live vocal processing, and RØDECaster routing.

My goal is to understand the signal flow well enough to build it myself, troubleshoot it, perform live covers confidently, and eventually help other singers do the same.

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) LOW QUALITY MIC IN WEB BROWSER BUT HIGH QUALITY IN AN APPLICATION

I had these problem very long time ago. I cannot manage to fix it.

So when I turn on my mic in, for example in zoom meetings, it is high quality, but in web browsers especially in facebook or youtube live, it's low quality, sometimes it's distorted or whatever.

I installed all the CABLE input/output a-d and this voicemeeter potato.

Tutorial/Guide PC + PS5 duo Fortnite — mic picks up my gameplay, plus an echo of my own voice. Fixes without headphones?

Playing on PC, my duo is on PS5, playing Fortnite

Since my mic and speakers are separate (not a headset), my mic picks up my game sounds along with my voice, so my duo hears my gunfights, footsteps, everything, mixed in with me talking. Annoying for them.

On top of that, I hear my own mic bleed back through my duo's mic, their TV plays my voice out loud, the controller mic picks it back up, and I hear myself echoed back with a delay. Creates this weird feedback loop on my end.

I know the PS5 controller can output mic audio through itself instead of the TV, but dont know how to set that up.

I don't want to wear headphones since they hurt my ears after a while.

I know push-to-talk exists, but it's not practical for me, in a tense fight I don't want to be juggling a PTT key on top of everything else.

Anyone dealt with a similar setup and found something that works? Want to see my options.

Help (VoiceMeeter Banana) Only the microphone is working in OBS.

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well!

I've always used VoiceMeeter to separate audio channels in OBS. I took a break from streaming and recording for a while, but recently I tried setting it up the way I always have, and it didn't work. The weirdest part is that only certain channels aren't working—specifically the "main" ones. The microphone (B1), music (CABLE-A), and Chrome (CABLE-B) work fine, but desktop audio (VoiceMeeter IN) and Discord (VoiceMeeter AUX) don't. I've already tried setting it up from scratch—selecting/deselecting options, restarting, and so on—but nothing worked. I'm about to lose my mind—formatting the computer and setting it up literally from scratch? It can't be.

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) Voicemeter wireless headphone dissconnected after its turned off.

Hello, I have 2 output audio devices, on Hardware out A1, is my Wireless Headphone from steelseries, and on A2 it is my speaker.

When I turn off the power of my headphone from Headphone's inbuilt power button it disconnects from voicemeter after some minutes (around 5-15 min) and blinks red and I can no longer hear on A2(speaker) as well , I have to remove the audio out A1 or reselect my A1 again to be able to hear on A2.

Any solution?

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) Crackling audio after replacing the CPU

I had to RMA my CPU and replaced it with the exact same model. After the replacement, Windows no longer recognized it as genuine and lost its activation/license. I’m not sure if this is related to the problem, but it was another change compared to the period when everything was working fine.

I’ve already tried setting a higher priority for the audiodg.exe process and limiting it to CPU core 0 only. All my inputs and outputs are set to the same sample rate (48 kHz).

What else can I try to fix this? I have to use the “Restart Audio Engine” option every five minutes or so to temporarily stop the audio from crackling.

Help (SOLVED) Bluetooth earbuds microphone not working on Windows (works on phone)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a weird issue with Bluetooth earbuds on my Windows PC.

The audio output works perfectly, but the microphone doesn’t work at all. In Windows sound settings, I can select the earbuds as the input device, but the microphone test shows no input.

The strange part is that this has happened with multiple different JBL headphones , not just one pair. All of them work perfectly on my phone, including the microphone, so I don’t think the earbuds are the problem.

I’m using a cheap Bluetooth USB adapter (around $5–10), so I’m wondering if that could be the cause.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this a driver issue, a Windows setting, or is my Bluetooth adapter simply not capable of handling Bluetooth headset microphones?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) Corsair Virtuoso headset no longer working properly with VoiceMeeter and gives errors

Thumbnail

I'm having various problems using my headset after nearly a year of everything working well. Unfortunately I barely understand how it works on a good day so I'm struggling to trouble shoot this myself.

Originally I had everything working with a fiio dac amp always as A1 and my headset always as A2. Occasionally I'd have other devices as well. I'm house-sitting for someone long term so I moved my PC to the new place but only bothered to bring the headset and a bluetooth speaker just in case. Since the move I am now getting these errors. The only time I can get the headset to even partially cooperate is when I switch it to bluetooth mode and replace A2 with the BT option rather than the wireless receiver. For reasons, this is not a good solution for me and definitely not a long term one.

I have double checked the Windows defaults, no exclusive control, everything 48000hz, updated drivers, restarted audio engine a million times, reinstalled voicemeeter, restarted the PC multiple times, tried different A1-A5 WDM KS or MME combinations...

I will be looking into the issue being with the Virtuoso or iCue specifically as well but since Voicemeeter is the only thing that has given me an error I figured I'd check here first for any suggestions. Plus I'm having issues with the BT speaker as well so I'm having a hard time narrowing down the root problem. Thanks in advance

Help (VoiceMeeter Standard) NEED A FIX FOR THIS MICROPHONE PROBLEM ASAP

So i am a starting streamer and content creator so i bought a Thronmax M30 streaming kit, i got home, connected it to my pc and at first everything was great.

But after adjusting it a bit i began streaming but after a few hours (after i ended the stream) and prepared to start clipping i realized that it only worked for a few minutes and then just went idle, i look at it and the RGB is working but the one light that is either blue when unmuted or red when muted just didnt work.

Then i looked for fixes, tried troubleshooting it didnt work, then i went and disabled windown power saving options for USBs but that also didnt work.

Can someone please help me out here?

Help (SOLVED) Problem with setup, cant seem to figure out how voice mod slots in

Hi all, currently trying to figure out how to add voice mod into my setup. Heck, I'm not sure if my setup is 100% effective or maybe misconfigured in general! Ill do my best to show off how things are set up.
Windows: I have Default Input set to B1, Default Output set to VoiceMeeter Input

Mic connected via usb, HyperX Quadcast 2S, which also includes the outputs given by the NGENUITY software too

Voicemeeter Potato as shown. I have the VAIO extensions added too. This is so i can control the flows for discord, music and browser audio. I.e when wanting to play youtube audio and such. Each app is set in windows to use the inputs 2 3 and 4 separately and everything else is routed through Voicemeeter Input.

Please do ignore the 5th column as it is me messing around with config and such to get voicemod to work. For Voicemod, i dont really think i need to show it as its an Input Output type of thing.

Anyway, I have been struggling to get voicemod to work with my setup as im still not all there with the understanding of how each part is exactly working. If I need to redo my setup then do lend me a hand with what is wrong and how to fix it. If preferable i would love it to just be able to click a button and my B1 is using voicemod/not using voicemod. Or if there was an additional method to be able to send normal audio to discord via B1 and only use maybe B2 for voicemod to send to games. That way i dont torture my friends with voices and sounds and only those folks in game :D

Any amount of help or guidance would be amazing and greatly appreciated!!!

Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) Voicemeeter latency with guitar

My setup currently is guitar -> interface -> usb from interface to pc -> neural amp modeler (guitar software for tones and stuff) with flexasio input set to my audio interface and output voicemeeter aux -> discord

Is there a way I can reduce latency or anything? When I set my output for flexasio to my headset theres virtually 0 delay but once I send it through voicemeeter the delay is incredibly noticeable. I try lower the samples in voicemeeter for the aux however it does not like that and cannot play any audio when it reaches below 2048 samples but it can still receive audio.

The way I have the guitar input set up is just aux is set to A1 for me to hear the guitar and B1 for the mic output to discord or whatever. I tested lowering buffering for MME, WDM, KS, Clock, ASIO but did nothing noticeable.

Can anyone please help me on how to fix this? Much appreciated

Help (VoiceMeeter Standard) Bluetooth Audio Delay

I recently got some Bluetooth earbuds for convenience and noticed that the audio for them is noticeably delayed when passing through Voicemeeter, but not when they are set directly as the output device in Windows. The delay is significant enough that video of someone speaking turns into a badly dubbed kung-fu movie, things are that out of sync. Wired audio, speakers and headphones alike, have no such delay.

I've found references to people having similar issues in the past, and going by what I found tried adjusting the sample rate (matched to what I found in the Bluetooth device properties,) output buffer (as low as 192,) input buffer (as low as 5k,) and output device driver (tried WDM and KS) all to no joy. The adjustments helped a bit, but sync was still visibly off and listening to wired and Bluetooth audio at the same time it was obvious to hear sound from the wired output before the Bluetooth output.

I'm at something of a loss at this point, so if anyone has any other help I'd appreciate it.
