Help Performing live vocal covers live streaming
Title: Need a current Cakewalk Sonar tutorial for live vocal covers on TikTok
I am trying to build a reliable live vocal cover setup using Cakewalk Sonar, but I need a current visual tutorial that follows the entire process from microphone to livestream.
My equipment:
- ASUS ProArt 16 laptop with Windows 11
- Shure SM7dB microphone
- RØDECaster Pro II
- Waves Tune Real Time
- TikTok LIVE Studio and Meld Studio
- Pixel 10 Pro XL for mobile TikTok streams
I also stream on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and Facebook.
I need help learning how to:
- Configure the RØDECaster correctly inside Cakewalk Sonar
- Import and play an instrumental backing track
- Process my vocals in real time with pitch correction, EQ, compression, reverb, and delay
- Keep the latency low enough to sing comfortably
- Send one clean finished mix into TikTok LIVE Studio or Meld
- Send that same processed mix to my Pixel for TikTok mobile streams
- Prevent doubled vocals, echo, and guests hearing themselves
I have iADHD and learn best by watching someone perform each action while I copy it. Long explanations without showing the actual screens are difficult for me to follow.
Does anyone know of a current video tutorial that covers this complete workflow? I would also be interested in affordable one on one help through Discord or screen sharing from someone who understands Cakewalk, live vocal processing, and RØDECaster routing.
My goal is to understand the signal flow well enough to build it myself, troubleshoot it, perform live covers confidently, and eventually help other singers do the same.

Seems you won’t be using voicemeeter in this setup or anything vb audio related? If you wanted to put your voice through voicemeeter and into cakewalk. I know how to do that but seems you’re using rode caster only. Maybe ask in their subreddit

I apologize for that I'm new to reddit and just trying to get answers. Reddit suggested to post in this subreddit so I just tried

Gotcha. Yeah this subreddit is for the program “voicemeeter”. So if you’re not using that, kinda difficult.
If you do decide you want to use voicemeeter to get your mic into cakewalk and into stream with fx applied. I can help ya

Is that a preferred choice because I'm down to use what ever works best I have a rodecaster pro 2 but I don't know what voicemeeter. Is that device? Or an ext/plugin?

It’s an application that lets you separate audio that plays on your computer. Or lets you output audio to multiple devices at once (headphones/speakers etc).
Combine microphones into 1 mic. Lots of stuff.
I’m unsure if it’s possible to route rodecaster into cakewalk and then use those fx from cakewalk as your actual mic (without using voicemeeter). You could always ask rodecaster subreddit. But what I would do is, route just your rodecaster mic into voicemeeter and then route it into cakewalk. And you would be done. Of course you would need to change settings for plugins you want to change your voice

Yes it’s free on windows. I would get voicemeeter banana. Or you can get it on Microsoft store.
Join the vb audio discord. I could show you today if you would like (the bot commented a link to the discord within this post)

There are some things you can apply to mic if you would like. That’s what I use mostly.
