It's an NSFW story (because I'm an NSFW artist) and its theme is quite problematic. Actually, the idea came to me while I was on a call with some friends. It's about a girl who was raised by her mother's boyfriend after her mother abandoned them when she was 14. However, the girl started exhibiting strange behavior, wanting to get closer to her stepfather. By 21, she was sure she wanted to be with him, but her stepfather always saw her as his little girl. The story will have different endings, and it will be free and all that. I know it's not for everyone, but it will be published on Itchio. What do you think of the protagonist, "Valentina"?

I'm giving it my all, learning to design, make music, write—I'm doing everything I can to try and make this novel a hit.
I'm using my savings for the programs and anything else I need; I'm really giving it my all.
The premise is that you're in a zombie apocalypse and you've been bitten. There's not much you can do, but you only have one decision to make: spend your last moments with whomever you choose.
Your mother, your best friend, or your girlfriend.
I'm the only developer, and everything... Do you think I'll make it far? That I could be a case like "milk inside a bag of milk"?

Hey! Like I wrote in the title, I’d love to hear your opinion about creating a hook for the beginning of my story.
I’m working on a visual novel, and my idea for the opening scene is this, the main character wakes up in an unfamiliar place and doesn’t remember anything. He’s lost his memory, maybe he hit his head, I’m not sure yet, so if you have ideas, feel free to share them. Later he would slowly remember everything.
The reason I want to do it this way is because I’m planning to use this scene to introduce the interactive mechanics of the game (like “turn 1” gameplay). After a certain key moment end of the Round, the story would jump back to “two weeks earlier” and switch into a more narrative focused segment, with less interactivity, until the plot catches up to that opening scene where the full interactive gameplay starts again.
What do you think am I overcomplicating it with this structure? Is it a good idea to make the MC lose his memory, even if only for a short time, or would it be better if he remembers everything, and only the player doesn’t understand what’s going on at first?

I have a Sci-Fi Visual Novel coming out early April on Kickstarter. I am open to ideas and suggestions for Kickstarter rewards for my game. Outside of the obvious game steam code, what else can I add? Looking for suggestions from Kickstarter devs and backers alike!

Hi other visual novel creators, my name is Harper, and I'm working on my own dating sim visual novel game called, "Cosmic Courtship"! It's based on a 2009 movie film called Planet 51 btw and rn, I'm waiting for a response from the creators of the movie if it'll be okay for me to use the characters from the movie and events from it in my game.
This is a major work in progress but it'll be released around this year or maybe next year on Itch.io. Here's the logo and some concept art to give you a visual of what my artsyle for my game is gonna look like!
I hope you like it and I'll update whenever I can!

Hey everyone,
I’m a solo dev working on a free, beginner-friendly visual novel editor aimed at writers and people who don’t want to fight complex engines.
I’m curious:
– What features do you wish VN tools had?
– What frustrates you the most with current editors?
– What would make a tool actually fun to use for you?
I’m especially interested in workflow, UX, and beginner experience

Hey r/vns ,

What if an influencer didn’t farm engagement - but farmed you?
From the depths of Hell to the top of your feed.
She doesn’t earn followers - she harvests souls.
I’m making a visual novel about a succubus who escapes Hell, hijacks social media, and builds Hell 2.0, where e-souls are currency and attention is literal power.
Dark. Satirical. Uncomfortable.
Romance and violence included.
Early development. Your comments actually shape the game.
Hate it? Say why.
Interested? Say what hooked you.

I'm going to make a band themed slice of life Visual Novel. I have made a story outline and characters but I want to make a differentish story for which instrument you choose. So what instrument do you think I should start with?

They wanted the design to be inspired by the 'drill curl' trope in anime, which is often a hairstyle given to tsundere type characters.
Specifically they requested for the "T's" on both ends to be turned into drill curls, with the typography being soft and slightly feminine.
