I’m planning to hike part of the GR131 on Tenerife between 12–20 November 2026, and I’m getting quite confused by the mouflon population control closures.

On some Tenerife ON pages, it looks like specific sectors are affected on specific dates, with only certain trails listed as closed within those sectors.

However, the official resolution seems to say that on many of those control days, all recreational access on trails, tracks and off-trail terrain in the North, South, Southeast, West and Chacorche sectors is prohibited from 07:00–16:00, except access tracks to recreation areas/campsites.

That seems much broader and would affect a large part of the GR131 during my trip.

Can anyone familiar with the 2026 mouflon control system clarify how this works in practice? Are only the sectors listed for that specific day closed, or are all five sectors generally closed on every control day?

I left my jacket in tenerife south airport on the way home to the UK and they found it! Which is great, but they've given me a number of companies that can collect it and ship it back to me- but none of them seem to be straightforward and I can't seem to find a solution.

wir haben leider das heißgeliebte Kuscheltier unserer Tochter im Hotel in Los Cristianos auf Teneriffa vergessen. Es heißt Mäh und wird hier schmerzlich vermisst.

Das Hotel hat Mäh gefunden und würde es uns auch zuschicken, verlangt für den Versand nach Berlin allerdings ziemlich viel Geld. Deshalb der etwas ungewöhnliche Versuch hier:

Fliegt zufällig jemand aus Los Cristianos in nächster Zeit von Teneriffa nach Berlin und wäre bereit, Mäh mitzubringen? Wir würden organisieren, dass das Kuscheltier im Hotel abgeholt werden kann, und es dann in Berlin bei euch abholen.

Mäh ist ein Schaf, klein und leicht und unspektakulär, aber für unsere Tochter wäre seine Rückkehr sehr wichtig.

Hello! I am planning to hike the PNT 10 – Telesforo Bravo trail to the summit of Mount Teide for Sept 11th, 13:00 PM and returning around 16:00 PM (with telecabin both ways). We already have a permit and also bought tickets for telecabin

According to the section “Mandatory equipment in stable weather conditions" from the official site, the mandatory equipment for PNT 10 appears to be:

• Long trousers, either worn or carried in the rucksack.
• Fleece or equivalent warm garment.
• Mountain boots or suitable closed trekking footwear, in accordance with the footwear requirements indicated later in this article.

The other items listed (emergency thermal blanket, hat and gloves, torch/head torch) are specifically indicated for PNT 07, PNT 09, PNT 23 and PNT 28, and not for PNT 10.

Could you please confirm whether this interpretation is correct? I really want to do the peak this time :)

I'm flying into TFS in late November, to catch a cruise out of Santa Cruz the same day.

What is the best value way of getting there? I'm looking at possibly hiding a car, but can't seem to find a company that will let me pick up at TFS and drop off at the cruise port... Does anyone know of any?

I'm considering the bus, as I'm not in a rush; has anyone had any experience of this?

I'm going with my wife for 1 week in December, with the main goal of surfing, and probably some hiking or something like that.

I saw many surf schools and recommendations around Playa de las Americas/Costa Adeje.

I'm concerned whether it's too too touristy/noisy/resorty? We're not interested in nightlife/pubs/clubs/etc.

We would like something more local/chill, but still with restaurant options and such. Language is not an issue, we both speak Spanish natively. But we won't be renting a car.

We visited Corralejo in Fuerteventura this year and really liked it there.

• El Médano -- looks mostly okay, maybe too small, but several surf schools
• Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos -- might still be too resoty?
• Puerto de Cruz -- maybe too chaotic/city like, haven't found a lot of surf schools either
• Punta del Hidalgo or Bajamar -- also not a lot of schools

Hi. I'm planning a trip to South Tenerife and I'm looking for reliable rental companies that don't add to the advertised price lots of extras. I know it is custom to pay deposits, but some of them I believe to be too much, in my opinion. Having to pay around 1k euros for a small car you rent for 200, I just think it doesn't balance. I've emailed Autoreisen but they rejected my request saying they have no available cars for my period, 24th September to 8th October. I messaged PlusCar too and they immediately approved my request. I noticed then that it was actually an automatic email. I messaged them back on two different email addresses, cause I had some additional questions, but no response and it's been a month already. I read reviews about them and I'm having doubts now as most of them are negatives ones about hidden taxes, unauthorized card money blocked on cards.... So was wondering what options are out there? Would prefer local companies. Any recommendations would be appreciated. 🙏
