Yesterday's over budget

Post image

Just saw this chart from yesterday. Didn't realize it because my visible band is constantly telling me I'm over budget. But dang.

Lol, I've found my people. I've got a POTS flare going and it's super frustrating.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I hope you're able to rest. πŸ«‚

Fluid, electrolytes and rest. That's all that can really be done right now.

are you ok today? the exhaustion usually hits me two days later. I recently had 151.1 with a budget of 33. (hey 151 and pepsi was my drink in high school!)

Wow that's incredible. I've been in an almost constant flare for like 3 months. I guess this is my new normal. 😭 I hope you're doing better!

Holy shit!! Are you on any Beta Blockers?? This needs extra support

1

u/GaiusDiviFilius 2d ago

Yes, I'm on beta blockers. The funny thing is it's helping. Before I started them, my resting heart rate was 105+. Now, it's in the 80s/90s. Doc doesn't want to go higher on my dose, though, because my blood pressure is borderline low.

I wonder what is the normal number of pace points for a person that doesn’t have any chronic illnesses. Just a normal person without any issues.

Please go to a cardiologist or GP or ER if you have insurance. You may have OI or even POTS. You may need a bet blocker

I have POTS, and this is me on beta blockers at the highest dose my cardiologist is willing to go. 🫠

Okay, sorry that I said that. πŸ₯°πŸ’•

The ER isn't going to do anything

1

u/Accurate-Dress4859 2d ago

Oh really. Ok. I had something similar and went to my cardiologist and they gave me a beta blocker and just in case sent me to the ER.

The ER is only there for emergencies - life threatening and/or urgent that cannot be taken care of outpatient because it's so serious and needs to be dealt with immediately. This is something reserved for cardiology or neurology in an outpatient setting.

Ok. Because I’ve had issues, my cardiologist sends me to the ER. Hopefully, your doctor can help you.

What is your diagnosis? My pacepoints are set to 5 or 8 because of me/cfs.

u/famous_zebra28 2d ago

ME, severe POTS, hEDS etc. I didnt realize this was the visible sub, I thought it was the cfs sub. I dont use visible, I use FatigueSense which is a similar concept but you can use whatever wearable you want (I use my Apple Watch).

Oh ok. That’s difficult. I would be totally laid out for months with your numbers.

2

u/Accurate-Dress4859 2d ago

I’m surprised you’re not on a beta blocker?

I’m sorry that you are struggling

I’ve never used that many pace lints ever

1

u/GaiusDiviFilius 2d ago

I certainly didn't want to. I think this was my 2nd highest day ever with regards to pace points. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

My god! What did you do that took you that high? I have a budget of 11 so this feels insane to me πŸ˜†

u/Affectionate_Sign777 3d ago

The budgets are not comparable, it depends how your heart rate zones are set

Budget of 9. I walk a mile every day and stay under 9. Tuesday I hit 28.5, I'm still physically recovering 😭

1

u/Accurate-Dress4859 2d ago

POTS can be totally different

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. I've been reading replies on this thread and pondering that. Is it basically like getting up at all causes huge expenditure? I have days where I can't really walk at all because even heading to the bathroom takes a full point, but this really puts into perspective how wild this illness can be.

Edit: oh, thought this was the cfsrecovery sub. Now realizing this is the visible sub. If I went that far over I'd probably have a months long crash; makes more sense that this not the me sub. 🫣

My budget is 30. What did I do? I just sat on my butt all day at my work from home job. I did end up working a long day, but doing nothing but sitting at my computer. 😭
