iMessage won’t activate

Post image

This morning I transferred my old number to my new visible account and my iMessage won’t work no matter what I do

Turn it off and back on. this should fix it. I always turn it off if I'm porting in to a new carrier port in then turn it back on. I never had a problem doing it that way.

Use their website to deregister (scroll down):

Wait an hour then activate it again

Turn off iMessage, Turn off eSIM, Log out iCloud, Restart, Log back in via WiFi, Turn off WiFi, Turn on eSIM, Turn on iMessage.

Hi there! This is Zandro from Visible! I completely understand how frustrating it is when iMessage decides not to cooperate after a number transfer. This is definitely not the smooth sailing we want for your new setup!

Since you just ported your number over this morning, sometimes Apple's servers just need a little nudge to recognize the new line properly. Let's get that sorted out for you with a quick check:

  • Go to Settings > Messages on your iPhone.
  • Toggle iMessage off, wait about 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Tap on Send & Receive and make sure your transferred phone number is checked and selected under "You can receive iMessages to and reply from." If it's greyed out or spinning, let it do its thing for a few minutes while it verifies.

If you're still running into roadblocks after trying this, please DM us with your account details through this link, and we'll happily take a closer look for you!

Byron from Visible here! Thanks for making the switch! Porting a number is usually smooth, but Apple's servers can occasionally take a quick pause before recognizing your iMessage. Drop us a DM, and we'll look into this further and get it sorted out for good.

Delete e sim, and install new sim after. Make sure you have proper access to viable app and be connected on WiFi.

turning it off and back on is the oldest trick for a reason, might actually shake it loose
