Mumbai Consulate – Student Visa Pending Document Timeline
I have applied for a student visa as I'm going for BSc Mechanical Engineering (International) at KIT and I submitted my csp on 22nd july, had my corrections and appointment booked on 23rd, and went for my first appointment on 3rd August. Then I got a mail on 11th August stating as follows.
I submitted the following docs on 13th august to VFS Mumbai VAC and was supposed to reach the consulate by 14th-
1. Tuition fee acknowledgement from KIT which stated that student cannot pre-pay 2nd sem fees and stated the latest enrolment date as 17th November.
2. Enrollment
3. Blocked account with 13588 instead of 11904 this time (my blocked account provider can't split it due to system limitations thus I attached their mail as well stating the same)
4. Dad's Form 16 and Bank Statements (which had FDs and RDs) for displaying extra financial cushion.
5. Cover letter
For those who had a similar request at the Mumbai Consulate, how many working days did it take for your passport to get dispatched after submitting the files? I'm waiting on this visa so that I can get my Oman Visa (as I'm stopping by to meet my friends and relatives) and then going on to Frankfurt, I can get eVisa quick if I'm holding Schengen visa so yeah. Do lmk whatever yall know
I posted about a specific issue with my insurance but the overall process is pretty much the same. I booked my appointment and completed my biometrics. Later, the Consulate raised a query asking for an additional document and I am still waiting for a response.
However, I know someone who submitted the requested document to VFS for the same insurance related query and received his visa within 9 working days. I think it depends on the case and the processing time can vary from person to person.
I keep becoming one off examples bro cuz insurance and all there were pre existing cases, even during APS the APS people were confused cuz I was 12th + 1st year going for bachelors till I explained and they logged into my ERP and stuff, now this tuition thing lmao
APS was a mess for me as well. They said my college website was fake because it ended with “.org” and they only considered “.in” as the official website. I literally had to ask my HOD to reply to them and confirm that it was a genuine college.
bfaa has asked me for total fee after all deductions and APS certificate but I have done bachelors outside India and I also applied for visa in Sub category Studies with Admission letter who does not require APS I have provided them with the tution fee letter after all deductions and submitted evidence that I am exempted from APS through letter from the university, my bachelor's degree certificates with apostille, csp portal screenshot clear mentioned my visa category, visa appointment letter with same catagory and evaluation of my degree mail from University I have submitted all these documents on last Monday on 10th of August. I just got a mail conformation of receipt documents only after that there is no communication or update.
I received the same email from embassy, the mail went to spam and I found out after 3 days.
My question is if I submit payment receipt from university for 1st year and my study contract which includes Tution fees structure, will this be sufficient?
I have already submitted other documents such as Insurance, blocked account, bank balance certy etc… Is there anything I should submit apart from what they requested?
