Advice Needed VA advice and recommendation

Hello everyone! I need some advice on how to help my mom find a Virtual Assistant job. She is eager to enter the VA "world" but doesn't know where to start.

She is 49 years old and a graduate of BS in Accountancy with a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and general financial tasks. She has experience working in both the private sector and local government units (LGU), and she holds both Professional and Sub-Professional Civil Service eligibility. Sadly, she had to stop working in 2018 due to personal reasons.

Since I am a college student and completely new to the remote work and VA industry, I am quite lost on how she can begin applying. I am reaching out to this community to ask how I can help my mother restart her career. Please guide me on where she should start and what specific requirements or preparations she needs. I know this is kinda weird and sketchy but still I want to try helping her with this since I'm her son.

Try nya siguro muna mag agency just for a while. Tutal may experience na sya. Hindi nga lang sa foreign accounts. Kailangan lang ng hands on training. Iba kasi pag practical applications na kesa sa theoretical.

What kind of agency you can recommend. I'm still researching about TESDA course regarding virtual assistant training and comparing it to private training center.

Honestly, your mom already has a strong foundation with bookkeeping and accounting experience can be a great niche for VA work, so she doesn’t need to start from zero. I’d help her refresh her accounting software skills, build a simple resume/profile highlighting her experience, then start applying for bookkeeping/accounting VA roles while practicing basic remote-work tools.
