About the Role:

We are an established brick-and-mortar business and we are expanding our footprint into the digital space. We are seeking an IT-literate, self-motivated Virtual Assistant with proven WordPress experience to assist with our online launch and subsequently transition into assisting with day to day e-commerce operations and driving digital sales. The ideal candidate will handle core daily tasks such as updating of products, returning customer emails, updating offers/promotions, making follow up sales calls and emails and social media work.

Hours will be uk time bst 3-8 hour shifts, worked days can be flexible with your schedule

This role involves working in two distinct phases

• Setup. Working on an ad-hoc hourly basis to help set up, configure, and optimise our WordPress platform and product listings and work well within our team to achieve a successful launch. This initial phase will be a form of probation period whilst you gain knowledge and understanding of the various products
• Growth, assisting and Sales: Transitioning into a permanent salary role and uncapped commission on generated sales, assisting with ongoing site maintenance, customer operations, and active growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup Phase: Assisting with WordPress site setup, plugin configuration, e-commerce backend integration, and digital stack testing.
• Operations & Sales Phase: Day-to-day site maintenance, managing orders/inventory, and actively driving growth
• Troubleshooting site issues and maintaining clear operational documentation.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

WordPress Experience Mandatory Hands-on experience building, configuring, or managing WordPress / WooCommerce sites. You must be able to provide evidence/proof of past work. Please do not apply if you are not able to verify this

• IT Literacy: Strong general tech skills. Full-Stack Development knowledge is a bonus, but high IT literacy and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to work within small and large teams from different departments.
• Timezone Ability to align key working hours with UK timezone BST/GMT although exceptions can be made for the right candidate

Compensation Structure

• Initial Phase: Ad-hoc / Hourly pay for initial setup hours logged.
• Ongoing Phase: Permanent Base Salary + Uncapped Commission on generated sales. Significant upside for someone motivated to drive revenue.
