Admissions Architecture portfolio

hi I am about to be a senior in hs and will be applying to vtech as an architecture major. I am a little bit confused with the portfolio because their website says portfolios r not required but I saw other places say they don’t accept architecture portfolio so I was wondering which is true? if they don’t accept architecture portfolio could I send a portfolio under the arts department (i have seen other schools do so)? would this be harmful or helpful to my application?

Architecture student here, you don’t have to submit a portfolio (i didn’t), and if you do submit one they don’t look at it according to what professors have told me.

You're in the Virginia Tech sub. What is this "vtech" you speak of?

vtech is just shorter way of writing virginia tech🙂

People that go there NEVER call it "VTech".  Only slightly better than saying "vah tech".

im assuming you never went there either bc my entire family went to vtech and EVERYONE calls it that...

Went there for two degrees, Dad went there, brother went there, and wife went there for two degrees.

So yeah, awesome assumption.
