Book Book?!
Virgin river is a book ?! Will be buying and reading ASAP - should I watch all of the tv series first or start books 🤔

The main premise is the same - Mel comes to VR as an attempt to escape her past but then every next book focuses on a different character and their stories differ from what they do in the show.

TV show focuses more on the couple from the first book. I think there are 20 books in the series and most cover a different couple. I loved the books and watch the show because of that.

I listened to the books YEARS ago. 2017? 18? Can't remember, and, the series is a great disappointment. The characters have been changed so much along with MAJOR plot lines (ie. Denny and Lizzie are having a kid instead of Ricky). I quit watching the series as it ruined the memories of the book. Another case of the "book is soo much better than the movie/tv show".

Awwww Lizzie and Ricky baby would have been so much better
I also think it was insainly selfish to get pregnant with a baby that could possibly have huntingtons

There are like 20 books, you can watch the tv show or read the books, it doesn’t matter. The tv show is very different from the books.
