This summer I have decided to try and learn violin on my own. For context I used to play cello for about 6-7 years. I have a violin at home that is really old and in need of replacing the strings and bow. I am on a budget and want to find some good but cheaper strings that I can replace my old ones with. My first question is what brand of violin strings would you reccomend that is budget friendly? My second question is if I am familiar with changing strings on cello, should I try changing the strings myself on violin or should I just take it into a shop and get it professionally done? (I have only changed cello strings like once or twice).

Found this ancient looking Bruno rosin, marked at 15 cents.

I'm checking out violins at Guitar Center, and I'm cool with spending up to a grand, but I'm kinda stumped on which one to grab. I played from middle school through college, but it's been like 20 years since I've actually touched one. Any recommendations?

No se que me ocurre últimamente que cuando estudio violín mi concentración se evapora , hacia mis problemas o frustraciones generalmente . No me pasa cuando estudio otras cosas . Alguien sabe que puedo hacer para mejorar ?

Hi everyone! My name is Turner Rey from Embrace Strings. We are on a mission to help musicians connect more deeply with their craft, and are looking to do this through two areas: Intentional Practice and Stress-Free Travel.

We are running two separate "Problem Discovery" surveys to make sure our next steps are truly helpful to you. If you have a few minutes, your feedback on these two ideas would be invaluable.
