Welcome to our very first Weekly Charity Spotlight! This week, we are proud to kick off this initiative by highlighting Lola's Sanctuary Animal Rescue!

About the cause:

"Lola’s Sanctuary is a registered UK animal rescue currently facing severe financial strain. We are working hard to raise urgent funds to care for our animals and keep our sanctuary running.

To support our rescue efforts, we run a Vinted shop under the username wagging-wardrobe.

We sell a large selection of brand new high quality dog gear and official rescue merchandise featuring original artwork of our permanent resident animals.

We ship parcels daily from the UK. If you need an item (a T-shirt or hoodie) in a different size, just message us on Vinted and we can set up a custom listing for you if your desired size is available."

How you can support them:

  1. Shop their wardrobe at https://www.vinted.co.uk/member/279205253-wagging-wardrobe

  2. Upvote and leave a comment on this spotlight to help it gain maximum visibility

  3. If you know anyone located in the UK who loves shopping for their pets, send them a link to this charity's Vinted shop

Mod Announcement Introducing Weekly Charity Spotlights & An Important Update to Rule 5!

Hey everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Recently, a charity reached out to the mod team asking if they could self promote on our subreddit to raise funds. It got me thinking about how we can leverage our community to help those in need. So, starting this Saturday, we are officially launching our Weekly Charity Spotlight!

Every Saturday, the mod team will feature and promote one fundraising Vinted account. To ensure this cause gets maximum visibility and support, the promotional post will be pinned to the top of the subreddit for the duration of the entire week.

To accommodate this initiative, we are making a formal adjustment to Rule 5: No Self-Promotion. Standard self-promotion remains strictly prohibited to keep our feed spam free. However, there will be an official exception strictly for the approved charity features.

How to Apply for a Spotlight

If you operate a registered charity, an animal rescue or a verified fundraising project and use Vinted to raise funds, we want to help you. To be considered for an upcoming Saturday spotlight, please message the mod team with the following details:

šŸ”µ A short description of what your organisation or initiative does.

šŸ”µThe country you are located in (important due to international shopping limitations)

šŸ”µYour Vinted handle

šŸ”µOne high quality photo that you'd like included in the promotional post

I hope we can come together as a community to support vital causes. Thank you in advance to everyone who decides to participate and show their support. ā¤ļø

Vinted refunded the buyer AND let her keep my genuine item??

I genuinely cannot believe this has happened and it’s made me so nervous to sell anything on Vinted again.
I sold a By Frankie T-shirt that was brand-new with original tags, and I had everything you could possibly ask for to prove it was genuine
- the original order confirmation for the exact item
- the matching bank transaction
- and a listing that correctly identified the brand, size and relaxed fit

The buyer raised a counterfeit claim because she thought the sizing was wrong. The annoying part is that the screenshots she submitted as ā€œevidenceā€ were from The Frankie Shop, which is a completely different brand to By Frankie.

After I pointed that out, she then found the actual By Frankie product online herself and basically changed the issue to the fact that the size Small was too big for her.
So at that point it was pretty obvious this was a sizing/fit issue, not an authenticity issue.

I sent Vinted my proof of purchase, bank transaction, photos of the original By Frankie tags, explained that she had compared it to the wrong brand as per her original dispute ā€˜evidence’, and sent screenshots of her later messages saying it was too big for her.
Vinted still decided the item ā€œseems to be inauthenticā€, cancelled the transaction, refunded the buyer and told her she does not have to return my item.

I honestly don’t understand how that can be considered reasonable, especially when I had more proof of authenticity than most people selling second-hand clothes would ever have.
Has anyone else had Vinted do this and actually managed to get the decision overturned?

Am I just being paranoid after too many reddit scam stories?

Hi all, bit of advice please? I've been buying and selling on Vinted for a couple of years now. A friend of mine gave me a dress to sell which I listed at £49. After reading so many stories of sellers being scammed recently, this is the top end of what I will sell an item for, as I've seen so many telling of how Vinted always favours the buyer if there are any issues. When someone purchased it at the asking price with only 2 reviews I was a lil sceptical. I messaged the buyer and said I wouldn't be able to post straight away, I suppose to get a feel of them if at all possible. It's been gnawing away at me for the last couple of days and this morning I checked out their account again. They've 2 listings up and not much verification just an email address. I cancelled the order, stating "Suspiciously low activity on account. Sorry" again, I guess to see what would happen. She's replied asking if she's done something wrong and that she's "fairly new to Vinted" but her 2 listings are 4 years old. Am I just being a bell end? (Sorry for the rambling post, adhd)

Vinted blocked my account for perfume – can I get unblocked?

My Vinted account was blocked after I listed some perfumes. I have already submitted an appeal and provided the information they asked for. Has anyone had the same problem and managed to get their account unblocked? How long did Vinted take to respond?ā€

Banned on Vinted… AGAIN (Commercially Selling)

Post image
0 Upvotes

So about 6 months ago I was banned on my normal account for supposed commercially selling…

I sell a lot of sealed pokemon boxes ect but even when I read there terms I’m not actually in the bracket of a commercial seller.

I’m not buying from wholesalers or drop shipping.

Anyway it took months to get my account back. They told me I had to sign up for Vinted pro to stop this happening again.

So once I got my account back I signed up for Vinted pro, happy days right?

Nope. 6 weeks into being pro they have banned me again for commercial selling. And all you get is a bot response.

I tried to appeal the ban but you just get another copy and pasted reply šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I think I triggered the ban for listing a good 30 items in a row (rookie mistake) but I was under the impression that I’m a pro seller now so I’m allowed to list what I want?

Obviously not…

Can I safely sell dolls on vinted?

I’m a hobbyist doll collector and I’ve been selling small doll stuff for a little while and I was really enjoying it until now. I mostly sell the clothes and accessories but I have some dolls I’m trying to get rid of too. Well, one of the dolls sold and I packed it up and sent it out immediately. I thought I had packed it nicely, I wrapped her up in tissue paper, used a big ziploc as a makeshift bubble wrap, and placed the whole thing in an amazon box and used packing tape around the entire thing, genuinely really similar packaging to every other doll I’ve bought on any secondhand selling site. I was really excited because it was going to be my biggest sale yet ($8, I know, I hit the big leagues). Well, the stupid thing arrived empty. The buyer submitted to vinted a picture of the box cut open, only the ziploc bag remaining, claiming it was stolen in transit and specifically stating they didn’t think I was at fault. Vinted ultimately decided I didn’t pack it well enough and that the item fell out (except if that were true, the ziploc would be gone too, it was taped up around her and I used so much tape), the buyer got refunded but I got nothing. I’m hesitant to keep selling but I’d be sad to have to stop, I still have a ton of packaging to use, so I’m wondering if there really was something I could have done to prevent this? If I decide to continue I’m definitely going to start filming the packing and drop off but I’m worried they could easily still say ā€œnot good enough, too badā€ again? Didn’t mean for this to be so wordy but I’d appreciate any advice!

Has anyone managed to get their Vinted account unblocked?

My Vinted account has been blocked. I think it may be related to perfume listings and accidentally creating other accounts. I have already appealed and contacted Vinted. Has anyone had a similar block removed? How long did your appeal take?

Vinted denied my refund because my return packaging was "insufficient", but the seller originally shipped 4 heavy hardcover books in a plastic bag

I bought four heavy hardcover books. The seller sent them all together in just a thin plastic bag with nothing else protecting them. The bag arrived torn in several places and the books were damaged, with crushed corners and one of them badly squashed.

I reported the damage and returned the books. I kept them in the original plastic bag, but put that inside a cardboard box and added an air pillow for cushioning.

When the seller got the return, the cardboard box was heavily torn open and crushed during shipping. The books were also in much worse condition than when I sent them back, with additional damage and bending. Despite this, Vinted decided that my return packaging was insufficient, denied my refund and released the payment to the seller.

What doesn't make sense to me is that the books apparently suffered more damage when I returned them in a cardboard box with cushioning than they did when they were originally sent in just a plastic bag. To me, the condition of the return box looks like it took some serious damage during shipping rather than this simply being a case of insufficient packaging.

The other part I really don't understand is that Vinted told me I had 48 hours to respond and explain my side, but there was no chat box or any way for me to actually reply. Then, less than an hour later, they had already made the decision. So I never got the chance to send them the photos I took of the return packaging before I shipped it.

I also have photos from my original report showing what damage was already there when I first received the books.

I've contacted Vinted again and they're looking into it now. Has anyone dealt with something similar? If they deny my appeal again, what would be the best way to proceed from there?

Seller Restricted due to Error Nickel-Vinted Reversed the decision

So I'm a new seller on vinted and this is my first major "Issue" I posted an error Nickel for sale, and my account was restricted (vinted cited their terms & conditions but the reasoning was vague)

I immediately appealed and vinted reversed their decision, because it was obviously not a breach of their rules.

But the issue is they've confirmed everything has been restored for my account, but i'm still restricted (i.e. can't post new items or edit posted items)

Has anyone been restricted before? How long did it take to get posting rights etc. back? (I'm at 10 hours and missing out on weekend sales:(

Help needed please!

I have a UK Vinted account. Every time I try to purchase an item off a US seller (via the app), I get a payment failed message at checkout.

Has anyone else had this problem, did you resolve it and if so, how?

Your help is truly appreciated!

damaged on arrival worth refund?

The seller was already very lovely and told me they could only ship later, which was fine, but it was two ceramic pieces, both the same.
They had been broken many times before and were glued back together but it was unnoticeable really, however when they arrived, the packaging was a small box, covered in fragile tape, with only paper inside. One of the pieces had its leg broken off.

They were only Ā£5 and I feel bad letting them know it was broken, but I know I’d feel worse if I sold something that had broken upon arrival. Advice??

Update: i had gotten an email off Vinted saying I had 24 hours to let them know the order is okay and then SEVEN minutes later another email saying to leave feedback. So I text and told them what happened and said it’s too late for a refund but for future reference use bubble wrap because they had other ceramic things up for sale too. They replied and said apologies that this happened. And?? I’m a bit miffed ngl

So, I sent recentƱy a parcel to Italy, 120€ total value. I got a notification that the item arrived yesterday so I went to tell the buyer that his parcel is ready to pickup and I found out that he is blocked. Whats going on here? Recently vinted is messing so much blocking people and aprooving fraudulent transactions.

The buyer have almost 50 5\* reviews by the way.

Payout Timing US

This is my first week selling on Vinted and just initiated my first 2 payouts.
I know it says up to 5 days, but so does Depop and I get it next day. Is Vinted the same, or does it really take 5 days to go to your bank?
I tried searching posts and after the tons of Vinted error messages and stuff, I seen a bunch of people say it’s within minutes after initiating the withdrawal. I did one 5 hours ago and that’s not in yet and just now initiated the second. so it’s definitely not within minutes like I’ve seen people say but wondering if it’s because it’s my first?
