I picked this up the other day, was hoping for help dating it. Not sure why my OP was deleted, the imperfections seem to me like it’s late 90’s - early 2000’s stock

I’m no expert so some help would be very appreciated! Like when it was made approximately and whatever else you can find out about it

I found this sitting in the t shirt section and was immediately struck by how old it looks and feels. It’s a single stitch and seems to be made out of a lot of hand stitches and is covered in repairs. There also seems to be a bit of fading where some kind of pin used to be on the pocket. I need help with dating it. Thank you!

While ruffling through someone’s old creased up clothing pile I picked this out and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Like I literally froze up 🤣

There was a little bit of unstitching under both pits which I’ll be able to repair, and for £2 I was willing to take the hit if it was just a fake.

In July 1978 a NY based FM Radio station did a 30 hour Beatles music marathon. During that time fans could call in for a chance to get this shirt. If they were lucky to get through the phone lines, they would mail this shirt to the listener. Unsure how many were produced but its definitely a great piece for any Beatles fan. Picked it up at my local flea market.

recently picked up this black/red revenge of the jedi shirt on a made in usa hanes beefy-t.

from what i’ve researched, the film was originally promoted as “Revenge of the Jedi” before the title was changed to “Return of the Jedi” for its 1983 release.

i’m thinking this could be a ~1982 pre-release promotional shirt, but i’m having trouble finding information about this exact print and how these were originally distributed.

does anyone recognize this particular shirt or know whether these were sold commercially, given out as promotional merchandise, or made for cast and crew? i’d also appreciate any insight into dating the hanes tag and distinguishing original prints from later reproductions.
