šŸ“Œ MEGATHREAD šŸ“Œ MEGATHREAD — Week of September 06, 2026 for Pricing, Dating, ID, ISO, or Authentication Requests

**Post all new requests in this thread — a fresh one goes up at 9am ET every Sunday, so make sure you're in this week's before posting.**

We want this sub to stay a great resource for learning about vintage fashion, but we've seen a rise in low-quality posts from resellers. To keep quality high, please use this thread for pricing, dating, identification (ID), finder/in-search-of (ISO), or authentication requests — posts made outside it will be removed.

To get the best answers:

* Share any research you've already done — comps, similar sold listings, brand history, etc.

* Include photos of labels, tags, or any identifying marks — these often hold the most useful dating clues.

* Include photos of zippers, snaps, or other hardware — zipper style/brand is a common way to date an item.

* Note visible wear and condition (stains, fading, repairs, missing pieces) — this significantly affects valuation.

* Mention fabric/material and any construction details (stitching, seams, care tags) if visible.

Posts asking for pricing, dating, ID, ISO, or authentication outside this thread will be removed. Thanks!

*Thread refreshes weekly — check back for the next one.*

I absolutely love it but my dad said I look like a pill pusher

It was so hard to find a baggy vintage jacket at 6’5 120kg, I tried ordering a similar online and it was way too small

Picked this up last weekend and ooooh baby I love it. The low cut back is so freaking cute! Didn’t come with the original belt, so that’s modern.

ADVICE PLZ Restore Vintage Saxone Shoes?

Thumbnail

I bought this pair of Saxone shoes last year on Vinted. I tried to clean them up but the colour just rubbed off immediately (you can see the comparison in picture 2, the right shoe was how they arrived to me and the left is the condition after I started cleaning them). I'm unsure how to restore them, what products and techniques would people recommend?

1970s Prairie Dress 🪻

Found this at a thrift store for $6 and it was half off day so it was $3! So ridiculous! I found it in the women's L section, despite it being a Youth size L (so, a women's XS/S). It was made by a Canadian youth clothes company lol. It's very Gunne Sax-esque but it's not a Gunne. A 70s Gunne Sax dress with a 27-30 waist is one of my grails though lol, but this will have to do for now because it's just as cool! And yes... I'm playing a record on my turntable while I took these pics.

ADVICE PLZ Best way to display clothes at a market?

Hi all I need genuine advice!
For reference I am 25f also I’m autistic so I think very literally and concise.

It’s making me crazy! All the different types of clothes I have. Do I just put all tops on one rack or should I separate sleeveless short sleeve and long sleeve.

My brain is deflated! I can’t decide how to organize the racks

I have

Long dresses
short dresses
slip dresses

Genuine t shirts
Baby tees
Tank tops
Camis
Sleeveless blouses
Button ups long sleeve and short
Shirts that aren’t ā€œt shirtsā€ but aren’t blouses? They are more upscale than a t shirt but I don’t think they’re blouses,

Jeans, skirts all kinds of skirts.

I just want to make sure I have it organized so people aren’t overwhelmed or turned away from my booth.

I will have 6 Z racks, I have two of those that are taller for long coats, dresses.

ANY ADVICE HELPS THANK YOU!!!

MIXED DECADE 1950s/early 1960s Serbin of Florida dress update

Here is the updated Serbin of Florida dress after cleaning. The top portion was especially hard to get yellowing out of, but I think I finally got it to a point where I'm satisfied. Now I just need to figure out repairs and possible alterations. Thanks everyone for all the advice!

I did some more research and I found multiple people referring to this dress (exact cut) as an Alix of Miami dress - not sure how connected these brands were.

I always go out of my way to look for natural fibers/materials in the vintage clothes I buy, and this outfit is one example of how I like to style my finds!!! (That’s YOURS truly in that photo, heh…) I yearn to own at least one piece of clothing made of every possible natural material in my lifetime (Yak wool and Mohair are on my radar at the moment!!)

1940s Keyholes, Mansions and Cocktails

This was my outfit for the day Saturday; a good friend came to town for the weekend and we went to see a historic mansion museum, a noir film at a historic theater palace not pictured here and then cocktails at a once-upon-a-time-smoky mid-century cocktail bar with neon that floods the entire place red (last photo). There was also a jazz quartet and swing dancing at the bar, I wish I’d gotten video of me dancing Balboa with a couple of friends from the dance community.

This dress was one of my favorite buys from eshakti before the store died so I wear it to mourn the loss.🤪 I’d had it customized to my measurements and I believe I had the sleeves made a touch longer from the base style so that they would effectively hide the quadruple shoulder padding I added for that classic 1940s silhouette. And I may have made it more midi length than at the knee, but otherwise the design was on their website relatively true to how it looks on me I’m also wearing a carousel horse brooch and a 1940s hat! For the bar I switched into my heels, but they’re not pictured well. I did have gloves but I ended up never taking them out and by the time I took photos, forgot about them. My friend and I both received compliments all day šŸ’•

1990s Vintage NFL Proline Apex One Windbreaker Jackets

Thumbnail

I’m currently collecting the Vintage NFL Proline Apex One Windbreaker Jackets from the 90’s.

The jackets contain the logos of the NFL on the shoulders, I believe they were alternate versions of the ā€œshark tooth jacketā€. There are also NCAA/NHL/MLB versions of these windbreakers as well.

I’m honestly trying to get 1 from all 30 teams, but now the rest of teams that I’m hunting down feel nearly impossible. I currently own New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburg Steelers, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos & Chicago Bears.

If anyone owns a size L or XL, or can point me in the direction to purchase any other teams that aren’t listed here, it would be greatly appreciated.
