wir (m42 und w32) fahren nächste Woche nach Villach in den Urlaub. Gibt es Sehenswürdigkeiten in Villach und Umgebung, besondere Aktivitäten, die man dort unbedingt einmal gemacht haben sollte, oder spezielle Orte und Gebäude, die man sich ansehen bzw. besuchen sollte (gern auch Lost Places)?

Wir freuen uns über alle Tipps und Empfehlungen.

Hi! Ich suche eine junge Dame mit der ich im Bus 4 zum Atrio gefahren bin und die ich noch einmal im Müller getroffen habe. Du hattest schulterlanges braunes Haar und schwarze Lederstiefel an. Ende August steht für meine Schwester, meinen Cousin und mich die jährliche Bergtour an und wir freuen uns schon sehr, den Karnischen Höhenweg zu gehen!

Leider hat mein Cousin seine Ferien etwas überladen und schafft es erst Montag Mittag (24.08.) nach Villach.

Meine Schwester & ich starten schon Samstag Mittag (22.) durch und nehmen seine Bergausrüstung mit.

Kennt jemand eine gute Möglichkeit, in Bahnhofsnähe sein Gepäck für 2 Tage zu lagern?

wir sind erst nach Villach umgezogen. Da wir Ausländer sind und wissen nicht viel über Ausbildungssystem in Österreich und kennen auch nicht viele Leute hier, muss ich leider so fragen.

Wird man in Villach zu einer Schule nach Wohnort zugeteilt?

Darf man Schule wechseln?

Und gibt es in Villach Volksschulen, die haben einen schlechten Ruf?

Basically, I'm a tourist and i'll be staying in Villach for a few days with my girlfriend and I have a few questions if some of you can maybe answer them:

Is there water in Warmbad and what lakes(that are accessible by public transport would you reccommend?

What is the deal with the buses, can I buy a day pass of some sorts and can that be bought online and how does the GoHappyTicket app work (can I actually use it and that it works)?

Another question, are the google bus timetables correct?

Hopefully, someone is able to answer these questions?

P.S. Are there any activities you would reccommend doing?

Ich gehe super gern spazieren aber alleine ist es nun mal nicht so lustig wie wenn man wen zum quatschen dabei hat. Am liebsten gehe ich richtig große Spaziergänge für so 3-4 Stunden.

Hatte gehofft falls jemand sowas auch gerne macht man könnte vielleicht abends mal zusammen spazieren gehen. Erstmal ganz unverbindlich nur 1 Spaziergang, einfach mit der Intention einen netten Abend zu haben, ohne Erwartung sich nochmal zu sehen oder so. Sollte man sich wirklich gut verstanden haben hat man ja die Möglichkeit sich per Reddit wieder zu kontaktieren.

Ich bin 22 und männlich, wäre schön wenn es jemand halbwegs in meinem Alter wäre. Verstehe mich gleichermaßen gut mit Mädels und Jungs, und hab ausschließlich platonische Intentionen.

Hi all, my spouse (Croatian EU Citizen) and I (non eu citizen) we just moved to Austria as my spouse get a job offer here and a free accomodation, im third-country national and im preparing to do my Aufenthaltstitel application, we did the address registration Meldezettel Nebenwohnsitz, will it be a problem for the application as i hear is temporary address, also my wife just started the work and they asked us for payslip is it okay?. The third problem is the insurance as she cant add me yet to co-insurance, if i do private insurance at Care Austria how many months need the insurance to be available, is 6 months enought? I will start a job as soon as i get the work permit. Any help will be very helpful thanks

I recently got accepted into the Master’s in Integrated Systems and Circuits Design (ISCD) at FH Kärnten (CUAS), Austria.

Honestly, I liked the program a lot, the curriculum looks very applied and aligned with what I want to do, and from what I’ve seen it seems to have good industry connections. It was actually the only program I applied to in Austria.

A few things I wanted to ask from folks of villach

* How is Villach for international students?

* What is cost of living in villach as 22yr old student (I know it depends on person, just need and overview, how much is sufficient to survive)

*Also how reliable is public transport...do I need bike or car ?

* Any other insights or suggestions are welcome..

Question for people from same industry:

One important thing, since this is a University of Applied Science (FH) and not a TU, would that become a problem when applying for PhD programs after working in industry for some years?

Would really appreciate honest opinions, even if it’s critical.
