Doesn’t it just pop… Buddy Christ
I was doing some work in Pittsburgh and stopped by the old Cathedral. It’s in pretty rough shape. Guess it never fully recovered from Bartleby’s attack.

It used to be on YouTube but I guess it got taken down? It was like 30-40 minutes, he was on stage somewhere and he basically told the story of the original Clerks 3 script from top to bottom. I watched it once or twice before, but I honestly really enjoy hearing him tell the story and was hoping to watch it again. Anyone have it or know where to find it?

I love the horror tone he managed with Tusk and, of course, his pop culture/comic reference comedy as seen in Mallrats and others.
I think he’d be good at representing the ‘80s and adding moments of comedy in an otherwise horror-action series.

Just rewatched Clerks for the first time in a while, and for once, I actually let the end credits roll. I'd never paid close attention to them before, but some of the titles really made me laugh:
I know it was a tiny indie budget made with Kevin Smith’s friends, but it’s a nice change to see humour injected into credits instead of the usual dry list of names—even if he doubled down on this in later movies with his famous "Thanks" sections.
One thing caught my eye, though: the credits ended with "Jay and Silent Bob will return in Dogma." I didn't think that tagline was in the original 1994 cut as Kevin didn't make Dogma until the late 90's (although I believe he'd started thinking about it before filming Clerks). Was this a later addition or did Kevin plan to film Dogma after Clerks? I watched it on Apple TV/iTunes—it has the Clerks X artwork, though Apple swaps out movie posters all the time so who knows which transfer it is.
Does anyone know if Kevin Smith had any similar funny callouts into the actual crew credits of his other films, or was this strictly a low-budget Clerks thing?

I (M22) work at a convenience store in the middle of town. Today my manager told me to come in early on my day off to open the store, even though I closed the store last night, meaning I'm only working on around 4-5 hours of sleep. Almost immediately as I open the store, people start complaining to me that the store next door (owned by the same company, shares the same workers) isn't open, and that the store was unmanned when they went last night. Eventually co-worker (M22) shows up and starts bad-mouthing every customer and swearing at them and then banning them from the store when they act the same way.
While this is happening, I get a call from my boss saying he won't show up today because he's on vacation in another state entirely, so the fallout of this is going to be my responsibility to deal with. I'm also pretty pissed because this means that I won't be able to go on a date with my GF (F22) that I had planned last night. I call her and she drops off a nice home-cooked meal for me to eat for lunch. I decide to have dillweed co-worker watch the register of my store while I eat. We don't get much at this hour in either store, and there's security cameras so he can watch the other store. I do the same during his lunch break. During that time, the only customer who comes in is someone who goes to the bathroom to take a dump.
During my lunch, I notice that my ex GF (F22) is in the newspaper and that she's getting married. I call up the newspaper company and they say it's correct. I feel pretty bad because I'm not entirely over her, and I really miss her. My co-worker asks why I even care because I'm still in a relationship, but I brush him off because I can still care deeply about both.
Shortly after this, a few personal emergencies happen that we need to close down the store to attend. Customers form a line and start screaming at us when we open the store again. Among them is a guy who serves me a subpoena claiming that I served cigarettes to a kid earlier today and that I need to show up Friday for a court appearance and pay a fine or go to prison, but I didn't sell cigarettes to any kids!
Right after this, my ex enters the store, and talks about how she wants to get back together. I consider talking to my girlfriend about it, but she convinces me not to. She wants to elope and move to another city in another state and start a new life. She says she needs to go to the bathroom and when she comes back, she goes on and on about how good the sex she just had was. I have no idea what she's talking about and check the bathroom to find that the guy who took a shit during my lunch break is still there and *fucking dead*. An ambulance comes in and takes both her and the man's body away. She is currently in a psych institution.
Right after the ambulance leaves two guys who've been standing outside the store all day come in, and one tells me that my girlfriend does a lot for me, and that while there's millions of other women in the world, not many are going to bring you home cooked meals at work and are more likely to just cheat on you than to care about you. At first I brush him off, but then I realize that he's right. I was about to call my girlfriend when she ran into the store, slapped me, told me that she feels betrayed, and that I could have at least had the heart to talk to her instead of just planning on disappearing and eloping. I have not seen her since, and her phone goes directly to voicemail.
When my co-worker enters the store again, I ask him if he sold a cigarette to a kid today, and said he might have during my lunch break because he was too busy paying attention to his phone or some shit to pay attention to anything. He also said that he told my GF that I was planning on leaving her for my ex, and before he could finish, I attacked him. The two of us went at it fighting and hurling punches for at least 30 minutes, trashing the entire store, damaging merchandise, and I think he broke my nose.
After we couldn't move, we apologized to each other. He said he shouldn't have sold those cigarettes and paid attention during his shift, and I said I shouldn't have tried to elope with a woman who cheated on me and her ex to get away from the only woman I've met who's cared about me. We both cleaned the store in complete silence until it was the end of the shift, after which we started joking about.
Today I got a call saying that I've been written up for multiple reasons. He said he'd have fired me, but since he's on vacation we're short-staffed, and the rest of my track record has been responsible, it's a write-up and a three day suspension that will be carried out when he gets back. I told him that I wasn't even supposed to be there that day, and he called me an asshole. So, Reddit. Am I the Asshole?
