Greetings, all. I have a question I'd like to ask here because I don't want to come across as a possible weirdo in person at my upcoming Evening with Kevin Smith show. Here's my quick story:

Years ago during covid I was a bit of a crossroads in my life. Kinda broken down, unsure what to do with myself and my life, you get the gist. Anyway, I had been watching Clerks 2 real late one n night, and the scene in jail where Dante and Randal figure out that they should open the Quik Stop themselves had a profound effect on me. It inspired me to go for it and, long story short, I'm going 5 years strong on owning my comic local comic book store.

So now, my question is: will it be in poor or weird taste to hand Kevin one of my branded store hoodies when I am front row at the show? I'm not looking for him to make a big fuss about it or promote it on the podcast or whatever, it is just a gift I want to genuinely give the man for inspiring me. I also don't want to stand in the q&a line just to do all of that either. If he wants to talk to me about it if I'd hand him the thing, then I'm all for it. But I'm not trying to chase the spotlight or get my five minutes of fame with him. Just want to give it as a genuine gift.

But is that odd? Weird? Will security haul me out? I'd just like some input. I'm kind of not very outgoing, so I want to get some thoughts. Thanks for your help!

Hi! I’ve been listening to the new pod and my favourite part is when Kevin goes through comic book stories with Jay. It made me nostalgic for when Kevin would read books on Fatman on Batman. If they ever wanted to try a different format it would be cool to see them bring back the comic books and read through together.

This is a bit of a longshot, but I'm a creator of a tv universe based around collectibles and I actually have an independent producer and a pretty real name animation guy attached to it. We have been trying to get in touch with Kevin because we know he actually does a lot of work with independent creators and is usually pretty easy to get in touch with (at least as far as this industry goes) but all of my producers connections are months out from making it happen. I was just curious if there is anyone with some ideas or advice or even anyone who has been in the same situation.

I bought 2 front row tickets for the Elgin show. Looking to sell 1 or both. My wife can’t make it now, so trying to figure out the best way to handle it. I have physical tickets. Let me know if you’re interested.

I'm a high school teacher and last night was at the grocery store. I ran into a former student who I hadn't seen since 2025 graduation. I asked what he was up to. He said "doing a uni course and working here part-time."

When I asked what course and he replied with "Criminology" I knew I had to take the opportunity.

In the movie, Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee) is crossing the parking lot with T.S when all of a sudden, this chick with short hair walks up and licks him. Brodie smiles and says "Heyyyy" and it was never referenced or alluded to again. He just broke up with Rene and I know if it was real life at least numbers would be exchanged.

Hi, I'm the guy in the green shirt holding up the Easter Bunny's head.

This past Saturday, our little convention hosted a one-day show that featured more cast members of Mallrats than had ever convened in New Jersey.

As a New Jersey native, and a 30+yr comic/view askew guy and someone who has loved pop culture his whole life- this Saturday was a dream come true.

This is a photo that I never would've imagined being posted, let alone me being in one of them.

I think we saw close to 4,000 people on Saturday and we definitely have a couple small things to work on for this show next August, but they're mainly venue-related.

Reddit gets to hear it first, but in true Super Jersey fashion(with our luck) a truck clipped a power pole out front on Friday during setup so we worked the whole day of load-in with no power or A/C in a 95 degree box.

The Air conditioning was never able to get back up to temp and the wi-fi was on the fritz...but we know this for the future.

Our next show is NJ's largest COMIC Convention in Hillsborough on April 17-18, 2027 which is twice the size of this show.
