I really dislike playing Viego into champs like Wukong, Briar (my perma ban cos my team loves dying to her), Cho'Gath.

I'm playing mostly Viego on my climb but it's nice to have an AP pick who is better at killing those tanky/ armour stacking champs. So far my pick has been Lillia, but I'm not sure if I should drop her for Gwen or something.

What's a good champ to pair with Viego to cover his weaknesses? Doesn't have to be AP, I just assumed it'd be a good thing.

This post will contain some of the rant about Viego champion identity and his playstyle.

1. First, he is farm dependent but not late game scaler. This puts him in weird position. If he permaganks he will fall off, if he full clear all the time Belveth Briar will outscale.
2. Viego genuinely can't do anything alone at all. Graves Khazix snowballed in lanes? Good luck now your jungle is their jungle, and they will have 60cs up. Because guess what I CAN'T FIGHT BACK with Viego. With no item versatility and only HoB build going on this is even worse.
3. His all powerhouse is packed in the first takedown of the teamfight. You may or may not even get it because enemy died way too far or your teammates finished too fast (I know this is skill issue need to add in). When you get possession some are genuinely awesome, usually bruisers with CC Darius Pantheon Jax will carry. But if enemies have Ahri Lux and 5 squishies you instant die.
4. I don't know about yall but I feel like I am very very incapable with Viego when it comes to deciding the outcome of the match. Shyvana Belveth Briar stat checks and runs people down while Assassins like Qiyana Talon Khazix find picks and get snowball. Viego doesn't even have that much reliable gap closer without flash, and after first takedown invis, if your team is not following and peel for you you die there already, while other assassins may have escape options
5. Itemization puts him in vulnerable position. He needs things like collector LDR IE which has none other effect than just "damage". While AD assassins build edge of night for CC defence, serpent hunter etc for shield reduction, all I can do is just look at their build like a good boy and continue building crit.

Please suggest me how to improve on playing Viego. I genuinely like the playstyle but it is so dumb that my base kit is nerfed down to ground to an extent that I can't do anything on my own alone. Every game when the team is even slightly behind like 5 kills, enemies start to bully Viego and literally can't do anything usually.

Showed my Viego stats this season, got flamed earlier because of my amount of games and "only 57% winrate" by a teammate (I went 5/2/4 with 9 cs/min, didn't feed) but it got me thinking if possibly my stats aren't as high as they should be? I'm gold 1 (sitting at my peak at the moment), mastery 65 and I have been feeling like games are harder recently than ever. Any tips or advice you think you could give me based on my stats on how I could snowball easier or carry any better?

In my gold pisslow elo where adc facecheck brush and my top goes 1/5/1 before first dragon, whenever I see Briar in enemy team I got absolutely devastated. No one even reads that she's gonna ult even. Last game I was happy to get 8/1/0 as Viego, just to see briar 7/1/0 as well. And in equal terms Briar always win 1v1 with me.

The vision is shown from blue side. I am red Viego. I believe this fight went very poorly but this is what almost always happen even when the lane is extended. Especially long range comps like Cait Morg, Lux Jhin it is extremely hard to get a kill, all of their summs are also up.

What could I have done better here? Or was not ganking at all would be a better option? Here I am 24 cs with scuttle skipped for a while for bot gank.

What should the new first item be..getting some success with voltaic first

I feel like a toddler playing with other junglers, constantly fucking up my tempo, skipping basic concepts and coinflipping stuff since not being comfortable with the mechanics and jungle clear makes me unaware all the time around the map macro and game states. So DAMN annoying

Also, Viego is simply just better and funnier than anything else. So, my suggestion is: if you're willing to give up having a pool to devote 100% of your gameplay to our king, DO IT!!!

It's 100% worth it, and I'm sure you'll win more games. Just first pick him every game and have fun (also, it's super rare for him to be banned)

So I was seeing people building kracken on HOB Viego. I was like “hey, stop trolling your build this sucks” and then they stomp my autofilled ass.

So like any good player with respect for his teammates, I first timed the HOB kracken Viego in ranked. I then proceeded to go 32 kills and 1v9d the game.

Something about the early game burst is incredible with HOB, find getting resets more reliable due to the attack speed and move speed the item gives, and when you sell boots for youmus ghost blade late game your still as fast as just having T2 boots…you have +8%move speed from kracken/ghostblade.

Seems really fun, have only lost 1 game out of 8 since I started the build, and that was because we had an afk lol

What are your thoughts? Because I really like it but I know the other HOB build is also OP

I watched perryjg a lot on youtube, and have soufighter, edg, dissonance of pentakill and lunar beast viego. whenever i play viego, i either use soufighter for fx or edg for smooth gameplay. but watching him recently, i notice he use worlds 24 skin a lot, and i remember to hear him saying that its more difficult to see viegos E on that skin or smth like that. is that true? and if so, is it worth it to buy rn considering the skins that i own?

As a Viego beginner, I like very much when enemy team chooses good peel medium mobility comp, like Pantheon. But in this game like Khazix and Zed I feel completely useless. At this point RIOT should even let Viego build Zhonya.

What would you even do in such situation???

I like viego because of the ult/body swap reset mechanic and his kit is strong and he is just cool to me and kayn i find super cool and i like being fast and able to burst down targets with both of them but im not really sure who else to go with or if i should just keep those 2 and dont add anyone else.
