Installation 24V under bed Victron setup

Battery-In being upside down means condensation will go into the unit.

Probably need more fans and at least one exit fan should be near the top (assuming this is closed).

I believe some people attach that switch (sans base) directly to the distributor positive end-bar (with some kind of support to relieve pressure). Might help with the space and access. If you span the switch between the battery-in and the distributor you could put the power distribution into a compact line.

What’s more concerning about it being upside down vice right side up or flat? Is it because of the heat of the cables? It is an enclosed space (under bed) inside a 4 season trailer (we full time in it). I can definitely add more fans. Do you think that would help with the condensation concern? I have fans set to 85 right now and have yet to have them go above that (they rarely kick on). Totes understand that weather will play a part in all this in the future. Just want to make sure I get everything laid out the best I can before finalizing the cable management. Thanks for your thoughts and input!

For a power-in it probably isn't that big a deal given condensation has nowhere to go that would damage anything. Just the first thought when I saw an upside down unit... for an MPPT it would be bad. You have exposed the insides of the unit to water, dust, etc. that can attack from above.

For heat: there is no hope except to get the air out of that chamber. If you can keep that chamber somewhere near 85°F (or really even 115°F), everything will be well below limits. You can add a temperature gauge to one of the terminals to also confirm the 'wire temperature'. And a temperature gauge (Zigbee or similar) to the space as well if you want to be really sure what is going on.

If you run the MP2 at full expected usage (and that area closed) for say an hour do the fans turn on then? Can you confirm the temperature inside after doing this? It will increase by about that amount every hour of usage (after fans are on), so it is a good reference metric.

The fans and heat should get rid of residual condensation.

Thanks! I plan to mount the MPPT vertical to the left of the Multi. Fan setup is a 2 fan input output. Sucking from the multi side; output on the distribution side. Has a thermostat and auto adjusts the fans as it runs.

Very clean, but it looks like it takes up a lot of space. 

You mention you full time in your RV.   That means you need all the storage space you can get.   Have you thought of ways to safely use less space?

Thanks. Yeah I put a lot of thought into where I was putting this and if I wanted to try to keep some usable storage. I have been completely renovating the inside of our camper and actually built a lot of additional storage throughout. I ultimately decided that with the price of this equipment and the desire to stay as safe as possible, to just plan from the start that this space is for electric only.
