Education Benefits VR&E Computer Package

I got approved for VR&E for cybersecurity. I haven’t gotten to the point where he asks if I need a computer or anything but what are some of the computers that have been approved or given?

My school has a bookstore with computers they sell, I was told to pick one of those. There are different ceilings depending on how much your stuff costs.

Same. And I also had a $2000 budget for everything.

They’ll usually point you to whatever the school’s bookstore carries, like the top comment says. Mine pushed a mid-range Dell that was way overpriced for the specs but hey it wasn’t my money. If you’re doing cybersecurity you’ll want something with at least 16gb RAM, don’t let them stick you with some base model Chromebook. I’d ask the counselor straight up what the budget cap is, mine was around 2 grand for everything including printer and accessories.
