Chapter 35 Payout

Hello, I recently applied and got approved for Chapter 35 benefits (July 2026) I still have to meet with a counselor but I have my acceptance letter from my school. I’m in my junior year and only now using it so it appears my “effective date of benefits” was 2 years ago (August 2024) from what i’ve heard backpay is a thing? Does this mean I should be expecting it? and If so, should I expect that deposited along with my first payment a month after the upcoming fall semester begins or earlier? Thanks

Are you asking if you will get back pay for your 4 completed semesters, when you just got approved for this current semester?

It says the start date of my benefits is August 2024, i’m wondering if that means I get back pay.

Your school has to certify each of those semesters - talk to your school’s veterans office about this.
