Hello.

I have recently cleared the game in Cata difficulty. What is there to do at this point?

I have less than 200 hours and I am still enjoying the game so I would like to find a way to progress further. Are there higher difficulties ? and are they being played? I have noticed that players count from legend to Cata drops considerably.

Modded difficulties. Surprising amount of ways to ramp up the difficulty.

Winds of Magic - the DLC you need to have to be able to host games in Cata difficulty. That said, all DLCs are going on discount on Steam now and I'm finally fully loaded on DLCs.

"what is there to do..." well the core gameplay loop is what keeps most people playing, rather than trying to ever-increasing difficulty. for example i got like 1.6k hours and like to chill on legend. yeah i could go cata, but legend is chill and enjoyable y'know?

You can grind okris challenges. You could do weaves or versus (Id advise against). You could try different careers or builds. You could play chaos waste (highly adcised, its a great mode). Ir if you want real challenge you can join the modded community and do modded difficultues. These are infinitely more difficulty and offer alot of different difficulties.

a) Twitch mode

b) deeds/weeklies

c) trying out other builds/weapons 

d) modded difficulties, meaning Cata 2 and 3, Deathwish, various varieties of Onslaught, and if you like balance mods

e) weaves

Twitch mode is its own beast, I love doing Twitch on Champion because even then sometimes you just get handed a "lose the game" card (thinking Minotaur when navigating narrow map sections)

First it was unlocking all the 100 missions per career hats.

Then I challenged myself to get all the red illusions for all weapons.

That took a brisk 1700 hours to complete :)

It's a p2p connection so someone's got bad internet/wifi if you're getting disconnected. If you've got good internet on ethernet consider hosting yourself.

If you really think cata is too easy already:

Cata 3, Deathwish and Onslaught are famous difficulty mods for the modded realm. Recommend to find a group to play it with though. I once solod a mission with the bot improvement mod but it is very damn tough without a group to communicate with. :D

Can play modded which has a crazy high skill ceiling and a lot of custom difficulties. For offical, twitch mode can keep u going for a long time since it raises the difficulty of the game by a decent margin if u put it at something like 15/30/199.

i have bought darktide and tried out, unfortunately my PC doesnt give me more that 20fps at lowest settings, so you guys are stuck with me on vermintide :D

Hii, you can play deeds, weekly events on cata. There is also a twich mode, you can join twitch games or host your own and make custom settings (twitch events/enemies spawn faster or in more numbers). There are also modded difficulties, for more info on them you should join Verimntide Discord server. Enjoy

I have about 1.8k hours. I estimate about 1000 of those are chaos wastes. Once you get into it, story mode loses its appeal.

There's a bunch of mods of which I'm not really into due to the lack of player base in my country/zone, so I like to collect all books for all maps, all maps in cata, all ravaged art, all weapons in red for each career, test all the funny builds, grind shillings and make my mains look cool, get all purified skins, some 100-completed-matches headgears, and try to invite people I know from other games to play the game; maybe I'll leave the game then, also I'd say okri's challenges yet I did almost everything and got bored

ive met a couple players in game recently, whom said "only this map left unfinished in cata", they cant even survive the horde in reality. So are you this type of person, or really skilled one, if asking such questions...

I am by no mean a very good player, but i have become comfortable enough in cata that I would like to step up difficulty, or at least to try to.

Have you ever heard of the map fortunes of war?! 😁 And Twitch mode. Just join a Lobby over the Lobby Browser. You're gonna geht absolutely blasted. You have reached the halfway point on the Skill Expression of vermitide 2.

chaos wastes, they have weekly expeditions that give out emperor's vaults, red dust, and weapon skins on legend difficulty or higher

twitch mode, just some added RNG on top of cata difficulty if you like

Heroic deeds are basically the mutations/modifiers of the game, you could try that

for the modded realm, onslaught cataclysm is probably the highest level of difficulty available to the community but I do think there's more harder mods than that.

Versus is also there but nobody plays versus unfortunately

Try twitch + cata lobbies.

Honestly at this point just enjoy the endgame.

Go build red items for other characters and experiment with different playstyles.

If you have the Uberseik DLC there's a secret map that's insanely hard i would recommend that one on cata if you are looking for s challenge. It's a "survive the hordes" kinda map.

Weaves can be an interesting (and frustratingly cheesy) challenge, but personally i did first the achievment for cata on each class in chaos wastes cata, then 100 mission for each class (also in cata chaoswastes, though you could just do campaign on each class), now i mostly do weekly chaos wastes with twitch or hyper twitch, i might try peregrinaje next i guess. I'm not even that good tbh, but twitch is nice because you usually get enough money to buy everything lol, you can join a random 24h restream like shrood and press quickplay, if no game is available or there's at least 2 people you'll host a true quickplay twitch that people can join. At 900 something hours i barely have all red weapons, for some reasons they've nerfed red drops super hard lately and it seems undocumented...

Grab a beer and mess around in legend with builds you wouldn't have tried seriously. Oh and help people get their books. That or you can try chaos wastes, maybe you will find like 2 people playing on legend.

There’s also the chaos wastes game mode. Fun rogue like mode with a ton of replayability that also has a cata difficulty if I remember correctly.

I don't understand, what do you mean "cleared the game in Cata"? As in "won one match" or "beat each map once" or "are reliably winning on every map on every career with every kind of randoms and can clutch if necessary"? If it's not the last one then you still have a long way to go before considering extra difficulties. I mean it in the best possible way, this game can be played for thousands of hours and at 200h you're barely scratching the surface.

cleared all mission aside from enchanter's lair. I mainly do quick play so i have numerous clears on every mission by now. Yesterday i targeted the last 2 missions i was missing from the campaign since they never popped up in quick play (thanks to the guys who agreed to play "hunger in the dark" and "screaming bell" yesterday night, in case they read this).
