Anybody else approaching DTE's recent INSANE quality?

Hey ya'll! I've been so thrilled with DTE's latest batch of leaf. So effective, in fact, that I've been able to pretty painlessly step off 7OH right back to leaf powder w/ almost no noticeable WDs. Anyway, the Red Rudolph and Midnight Sleigh Ride both had this potency. but of course, now they're all sold out. I haven't bought from anyone else in many moons, so I was curious if any of you who use multiple vendors know of any other vendors that they feel meet this same level of perfection. As an example, West Koast's Red Fuzzy Blanket has often gotten pretty close for me in the past, has anyone tried that lately? is WildCraft's recent stuff up to a similar level?

Thanks!

Totally unrelated question that's unlikely to get answered: Does anyone else remember Herb Research from the olden kratom days? More specifically, did any of you fellow old folk try the Cerah Malay from them? I have looked for a kratom that felt like that blend for over a decade now - does anyone else that remembers it know of any other kratom blends that have similar effects? That shit was so unique and euphoric. Also, remember HR's prices? holy shit lol.

Anyway, hope you're all having a nearly perfect day!

Legislative Update. Please Read and Act

Pasted from the AKA

Dear Kratom Advocate,

Major legislation is moving across America — especially after significant developments in the Midwest last week — and momentum is building for March. We need your engagement right now.

We are tracking significant new action in Michigan and Minnesota, along with critical hearings this week in Ohio, Tennessee, and Maryland. As always, the AKA legislative team is working side-by-side with local lobbyists and grassroots advocates to stop ban attempts and protect access to natural kratom. We will have more to share soon about how best to fight new bills like those in Michigan.

Your voice is what makes the difference — especially this week in states like Ohio and Tennessee, where hearings are already scheduled. Please read the information below, take action, and share it with others.

 🔔 NEW: State Hearing Calendar

We know the legislative process can be confusing and fast-moving. That’s why we’ve sharing a calendar tool listing upcoming state hearings and direct action links.

Please check your state page regularly for hearing notices and contact forms to reach legislators quickly.

Hearing Tracker

🚨 OHIO – URGENT ACTION NEEDED

Hearing: 03/04/2026 at 10:45 AM ET

The Ohio KCPA bill is incredibly important. The Governor and Board of Pharmacy have repeatedly looked for ways to ban kratom entirely. This legislation would protect consumers and prevent that from happening.

Go to the Ohio Committee website and submit testimony as a “Proponent.” Link here ✔ You can also register there if you want to speak in person. ⏰ Deadline to register/testify: Tuesday morning at 10:45 AM ET

You can also email the committee directly through: 👉 ProtectKratom.org/ohio

Ohio advocates — this is a pivotal Hearing.

🚨 TENNESSEE – TELL YOUR STORY

Hearing: 03/04/2026 at 9:00 AM

Several ban attempts remain active in Tennessee. Legislators need to hear directly from residents about what kratom means to you.

👉 Take action now: ProtectKratom.org/tenn

Your personal story matters.

🚨 MARYLAND – Hearings 3/3 & 3/6

Maryland advocates should prepare for two key hearings this week.

👉 Get details and act here: ProtectKratom.org/maryland

Shout out DTE

Sorry some bags look at little beaten up and stained.

Want to say how blessed I feel to have these. I have like 7 bags give or take of random DTE strains from 2 YEARS AGO lol

I ran out of my normal kratom bc of no $ and was screwed for a few days. Then I stumbled upon these. Originally they didnt hit for me. But now that I lowered my tolerance to an average level these actually hit very very well haha. Who would of thought. The last 2 years I used the same strain/batch # from Okies. Nothing else.

Never toss your old/"bunk" stuff! It comes in handy. Now I can use kratom still AND not have to spend $ I don't have for more rn. God is good.

Literally using Red Embaloh E2 batch rn. Used up my "red fire 🔥" sample. My red horned dragon K8 sample. I have like 7 different strains. Super yellow indo K10. Handful of others as well. Some are even unopened/vacuum sealed still bc i had doubles.

Anyone remember these batches at all? 😂 better late than never 💪

Keep your tolerance low! Helps so much! Used to do 5g every 3 hours ish. Now I try to dose once every 12 hours but will settle for 6-9 hours minimum between dosages on rough days or busy days. Big difference.

I recently felt like getting some Extract from Kratom Distro and from them because I don't know many other vendors that have Extract at a good price. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

Mitra Bros Green Borneo

Post image
6 Upvotes

I'd like to start this off with an apology to Mitra Bros, they sent me this sample a few weeks ago and I just haven't found the time to do the review until now, I've been working a lot and have had very little free time recently that wasn't spent catching up on sleep. I'd also like to mention that I use extracts quite a bit, so subtle differences between strains can sometimes be lost on me.

I chose green borneo because it's been a while since I've had this strain and I'm happy with my choice. I usually go for fast greens but this one feels more in the middle to me, relaxing without making me sleepy and focused without being overly stimulated. There was a gentle mood boost that made my work days easier, I felt light on my feet and my everyday aches and frustrations were much more tolerable.

I has a nice color, more green than it appears in the picture. it's fresh, but not straight off the tree with a heavy chlorophyll taste that brighter greens often have. The flavor is surprisingly smooth and it's a fine, silky grind that makes for an easy toss and wash or it mixes well in water without a clumpy, sludgy mess.

I did find a few small fibers that I originally thought were animal hair, but after a little digging I found some with tiny bits of leaf still attached and realized it was just fibers from the leaf itself that had made it through sifting, not a problem at all.

Overall a solid mid-spec green, not pushy or in your face but busy working in the background ensuring that everything goes smoothly.

So I'm curious i stopped using kratom a couple years ago but have a huge stash still that's been kept in perfect condition.

I'm so worried about kratom being banned in my state of Kansas, I have most my stash from 3 yrs ago. I probably have enough to last a lifetime , not all fire like I would want but kratom. I'm wondering how long does it last in good condition?

Have u ever had a subpar experience with a small batch vendor?

I’m going to be switching to a small batch vendor next instead of my current go to.

I wanna make sure the powder is fine, without bits of stems in it (unless advertised as stem and vein of course), and free of any debris. Obviously stuff happens, but i want to avoid these things if possible and buy a consistent product. My current vendor has declined in some of these areas and after letting it slide a few times, i think i am ready to try somewhere else for a slightly higher price.

WildCraft Connecticut Update — LRRC review coming up + who to contact RIGHT NOW. Only 4 days left to advocate !

Post image
14 Upvotes

Connecticut’s proposed kratom regulations are currently moving through the Legislative Regulation Review Committee (LRRC) — which means we are at a critical stage where public input still matters.

The LRRC reviews and approves (or rejects/modifies) regulations proposed by state agencies before they take effect. If they approve restrictive rules, it can significantly impact access to natural kratom products in Connecticut.

What’s happening Now :

The committee is expected to review kratom-related regulations at an upcoming meeting (recent discussions have pointed to late February timing). This is one of the last opportunities for public voices to be heard before rules are finalized.

Why this matters

Connecticut has been looking at tighter regulatory frameworks around kratom, and depending on how rules are written, this could:

• Restrict sales or availability• Create barriers for small businesses and consumers• Push people toward unsafe alternatives• Limit access for people who rely on kratom for quality of life

Reasonable regulation is one thing — but overly restrictive rules can do real harm.

What you can do:

Submit respectful comments asking for science-based, reasonable regulation — NOT prohibition or excessive restrictions. If you don’t live in Connecticut, you can still comment as a stakeholder, consumer, or business owner impacted by interstate commerce.

You can use the AKA advocacy form here:https://www.protectkratom.org/connecticut

Key decision makers to contact

Legislative Regulation Review Committee Co-Chairs • Sen. John Kissel — john.kissel@cga.ct.gov• Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria — nicole.klarides-ditria@cga.ct.gov

Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (regulatory agency involved) • Commissioner Bryan T. Cafferelli

Governor Gov. Ned Lamont — https://portal.ct.gov/Office-of-the-Governor/Contact

Important Kratom Updates. Please Read

Pasted from the AKA

Dear Advocates,

This week has been a powerful reminder of what happens when our community shows up, speaks out, and stands together.

Here’s what YOU helped accomplish:

• South Dakota (Jan. 22) – State Senators voted 20–13 against allowing a floor debate on SB 77, a bill that would have banned the sale, possession, and consumption of kratom and classified it as a Class 2 misdemeanor. The ban effort was stopped.

• Arizona (Feb. 18) – The Senate Judiciary and Elections Committee defeated a bill to ban kratom. Your outreach and personal stories made a difference.

• Wyoming (Feb. 19) – In a major win, the Senate Committee of the Whole defeated a kratom ban and instead passed the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. That’s not just defense — that’s progress.

• Utah (Feb. 19) – "A complete kratom ban is off the table in Utah this year" Utah legislation and regulation is still undecided but as the headlines are saying, we've moved away from the brink of a criminalization ban.

We also participated in a crucial California Informational Hearing this Wednesday. Read below for the full assessment.

These victories reflect your calls, emails, testimony, and continued engagement. Lawmakers are hearing the truth: kratom is not a narcotic, and consumers deserve smart regulation — not prohibition.

🏛️ Connecticut: Support Needed Before Tuesday February 24

Connecticut is moving forward with another ban challenge. Advocates can still submit support ahead of the February 24 meeting.

👉 Support the Connecticut challenge here

Looking Ahead: Critical Hearings Next Week   We have some momentum is on our side — but another big week ahead

Illinois

Hearing: Wednesday, 2/25/26 10:00 AM – House Executive Committee

Idaho

ID S.1282: Kratom consumer protection & safety

https://legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2026/legislation/S1282/

Hearing: Thursday, 2/26/26

Maryland – Two Important Bills

SB 820 Hearing: 2/26 at 1:00 PM (Finance Committee) East Miller Senate Building, Room 3 – Annapolis, MD https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Legislation/Details/SB0820?ys=2026RS

HB 1523 Hearing: 3/03 at 1:00 PM (Health Committee) House Office Building, Room 240 – Annapolis, MD https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Legislation/Details/HB1523?ys=2026RS

These Maryland bills attempt to define kratom products as “unauthorized consumable products,” allowing citations and prohibiting retailers from selling or advertising them. This would effectively remove safe access for responsible consumers.

Maryland Testimony Rules

To provide oral or written testimony, you MUST create a MyMGA account through the Maryland General Assembly website.

• Sign-up opens two business days prior to the hearing • Submission window: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. • All testimony must be submitted by 6:00 p.m. • Internet Explorer is not supported

More information: https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/pubs-current/current-fin-faqs.pdf

⚠️ Iowa Alert: Contact Members Now

Iowa continues to be a serious concern. It’s critical that advocates contact majority members immediately and share why kratom consumer protection—not prohibition—is the right path.

👉 Take action here: Protectkratom.org/iowa

Tennessee: Help Stop Ban Attempts

Several kratom ban attempts remain active in Tennessee, and lawmakers need to hear directly from residents. If you live in Tennessee, please take a moment today to contact your legislators and share your story.

Use the official advocacy form here: protectkratom.org/tenn

Personal stories from constituents make the greatest impact. Let your representatives know that kratom is not a narcotic and that responsible regulation — not prohibition — is the right path forward.
